“Don't tell anyone how great this B'n B is!”

I'd rather not admit how lovely this B'nB is because it I will have to book even further in advance. I've stayed before and had an excellent visit and as a single woman traveller it's a treat to find quality, comfortable, secure good value accommodation. The rooms are perfect with everything you need, the bathrooms too are just what's needed with lovely showers.

Breakfast is a delight and our hosts are accommodating without being intrusive. You can walk to the centre of Norwich in minutes, with a restaurant for every palate and there's parking if required but you're less that a £5 taxi ride from the station (10-15min walk). I recommend it to family, friends and colleagues but only after I've booked my room as too many other people have realised that Number 17 is THE place to stay in Norwich.

Room Tip: If you have mobility problems ask for one of the annexed rooms, but all rooms I've stayed in are...

We spent two night here during the Easter period in a duplex room big enough to accommodate four people without feeling crowded. Our room along with another ones was located in a separate building at the back of the main house. The access was via a long corridor without having to go through the main building which made it easier to go in and out either early in the morning or late at night. The room was spotless and tastefully decorated. The bathroom was the largest one I have seen in a B&B and it was super clean. There was also a small sitting area with a sofa and armchair which was perfect for a night in when temperatures dropped to freezing figures. The breakfast was excellent in quality and quantity and there was a choice of fish, full English and continental with meets and cheese. It is just a short 2 to 5 minutes walk to all amenities and the surroundings are quiet despite being close to a variety of bars, pubs and restaurants. It is not only an excellent place to stay but also gives you more privacy than the usual B&B that sometimes makes me very conscious of being "in someone else´s house".

My husband and I spent one night with 4 ofspring aged 15 to 20 in a double and a family room. The rooms were spotless and well appointed, the family room being easily big enough for all of us to spend time together in due to the atrocious weather.

The owner, although not chatty was very friendly and helpful.

Parking was by way of a permit to park in the car park at the rear and very convenient.

Breakfast was outstanding, even accommodating out two veggie daughters with a veggie cooked breakfast.

My only issue was with the pillows ( I use feather ones at home). and the small bath towels rather than the bath sheets you get at some other hotels..

Spent two nights here and the entire experience was faultless. The owner had as requested, reserved a parking bay for our stay (Norwich is a bit difficult for overnight parking), we were given a very large family room which was lovely, king size super comfortable bed, beautiful bathroom and the breakfast was top drawer if you like an 'English' breakfast (we do!) with quality ingredients properly cooked and served.

My husband and I booked in at Number 17 on Valentines Night because of its central location to the city centre. It has been decorated and furnished to a very high standard, higher then you would expect for a B & B. Fixtures and Fittings were well finished, towels and beddings excellent quality. Our room was spacious as was the en suite spotlessly clean, ideal for the night, comfortable bed, lovely shower and even a bookcase outside our room crammed full of interesting reads. Breakfast was served in the lovely light and airy lounge/dining area, full choice of fresh fruits and yoghurts and the full english breakfast was lovely. Only niggles we could find was our rooms was at the front of the property so the traffic and people passing made it a little difficult to get to sleep at first and room was very very warm, but thats just personal preferences. Service from Jim and Glynis was warm and friendly and we were made very welcome indeed.

Room Tip: Perhaps not at the front of the building due to noise levels from traffic and passers by, but don...

We travelled to Norwich by train and number 17 was just a short walk from the station. We stayed in a family room which was roomy, comfortably furnished and well stocked with tea/coffee/biscuits. There was a spacious bathroom with separate shower. There are two family rooms tucked away behind the courtyard and their location ensures a nice peaceful stay. Breakfast offered good choices and was all freshly prepared. We found number 17 to be a charming place for our short stay in Norwich - it's in a quiet street in an attractive part of the city and there are lots of quirky independent cafes, bars and shops close by.

I stayed one night in a single room for £52 which I thought was very reasonable for a city central bed and breakfast. The walk from the train station took approximately 15 minutes. The room was modern , clean and comfortable with a good size bathroom. I would definitely stay again next time I am in Norwich.
