Best Western Brook Hotel Norwich

Situated adjacent to an industrial estate in the Western Outskirts of Norwich this is a large Hotel which would appear to mainly be used by Business and tradespeople. Easy access to the ring road is a bonus - huge car park good as well.

Reception very friendly and efficient.

Room better than i expected - although in honesty it is a bit Travel Lodge Plus, couldn't decide if the bathroom decor was modern retro or just old. To be fair everything in there worked perfectly.

The wifi is supplied by some 3rd party - Real Wifi or something - and it didn't work. Didnt work on my own laptop, didnt work on work laptopand didnt work on my iphone. Big big let down. Even McDonalds restaurants in the middle of nowhere have wifi that works these days.

The restaurant was, and im struggling here - a bit odd. For a business stopover hotel in an industrial estate it seemed to have adopted a slightly pretentious air a la a French service model. Staff were kind of aloof and while not pretentious slightly distant as if to evoke the idea it was a 5 star Michelin star eaterie. Food was really nice for all that.

Breakfast was nice - same serving style - lots of choice and nice quality.

All in all no nasty surprises - a landing like a French Tarts Boudoir on your way to the first floor rooms - but a cosy convenient hotel. Big downside ? Wifi didnt work....

Just got home from a fantastic night at the brook hotel where i attended a charity event, of which i must say considering staff levels seemed low, the overall effort by staff and the management running our event was second to none. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone wanting five star service in a three star hotel, and i would like to thank Tristian, Alister and all other staff involved for making it great from start to finish. Everyone who I have spoken to throughout the evening have all agreed with my feelings towards the night, and this has mainly been the reason i felt it so important to make a point of how happy we all are!

A little bit out of the way but overall had a very good experience. Breakfast was good and the staff were very helpful, my stay was for business and was booked at the last minute. I would recommend this hotel, ignore any negative feedback. Overall 8/10. If you want luxury this isn't for you, they do reasonable quality at a reasonable price

We had a fantastic stay and all the staff were amazing. We booked on a deal where we got 2 nights B and B with one nights dinner for a very good price and to be honest I wasn't expecting a lot.

I would like to say Alistair serving in the restaurant brought a smile to our face after a long 3+hr drive from London. He should definitely be congratulated on his hard work and would be a fantastic asset to anyone's team. The food was wonderful and it's so nice to find a chef that clearly takes pride in his work and presentation. I had the catfish and it was delicious! The breakfast was vast and plenty and being on a diet (boo) was catered for too. Again it was lovely to see fresh food being brought out instead of a lot of food cooked and left to sizzle under lights from 7am-10am!!!

The rooms were fab and spacious considering the price with lovely comfortable beds and enough pillows too... Hurrah!!!! The black out curtains allowed me to actually have a lie in til 8.30!!!! And noise was absolutely minimal in rooms... Considering there was a wedding going on that's amazing.

We will definitely coming back to stay

Nice reception area and friendly helpful staff.

One word for the food * awful *. Stayed for two nights and had a three course meal on the first night which was included in our package deal.

Husband ordered a pork dish which was burnt on one side, Portions small and bland I recommend you do not eat here.

Breakfast served from 7am until 9.30am. Family came down at 9.10am with very little food left. When we asked if we could have fresh the staff were very reluctant and unhelpful.

Room was spacious , basic and clean and we had a good nights sleep on both nights.

We have just had a fantastic stay at the hotel with excellent value for money and outstanding service especially Summer on the reception desk and Alistair in the restaurant. Both staff consistently went out of their way to ensure we had everything we could possibly need. Thank you so much.

Just returned from a Livingsocial deal for an overnight stay for 2 with three course meal and breakfast and I am impressed. The room (a standard double) was fairly basic, but clean and fresh, although the bed was very hard which is the only negative point I can make about our stay.

The evening meal was far better than I had expected for the price we paid, and was much nicer presented than the usual pub fare type meal available. My peri-peri chicken was moist and flavoursome, the mackerel starter incredibly tasty and the fruits of the forest cheesecake came served with a drizzle of papaya coulis. My husband's meal was equally good and his rib-eye steak was cooked to perfection, tender and juicy. He cleared his plate completely!

The staff were very attentive and polite, they couldn't do enough for us, at both dinner and breakfast. Overall this trip cost us £69... the meal alone was worth that. I would certainly eat and stay here again for that bargain price!
