The York has always been a great pub and the Sunday lunches are wonderful - but they've started doing food again on Friday and Saturday nights.
The menu is really well thought out but not over complicated - and the food is fresh, brilliantly prepared and spot on for the time of year,
It's great for taking younger kids to too - but without that feeling of a standard 'family-friendly' chain restaurant with basic 'and chips' children's menu. They serve from 5.30pm and the prices are very reasonable.
As ever, the range of drinks in there are great and the staff are always friendly. There's some really interesting bicycle art on the walls from a local artist and usually a few lycra-clad cyclists propping up the bar.
