“Nice location, nice Hotel”
Reviewed 10 April 2012

Booked 2 family rooms for 2 nights over the Easter period. Having read the reviews here, we phoned ahead to reserve top floor side facing rooms and ended up with Room Nos, 231 & 237. These are on the 2nd (top) floor at the back of the hotel, with a view down along the river and overlook a small garden area. Pretty quiet with only background traffic noise if you had the balcony doors open. Have to say that one of the room we were first allocated (No. 225) had a blocked toilet and stank of cigarette smoke but we were quickly and efficiently allocated an alternative room. Well done to the lady at reception! Breakfasts were very nice although quite busy up until 9.00am.Car park was busy at times but we always managed to get a space. And if you arrive by train then this is a brilliant location as Station just over the bridge. Also only about a 10/15 minute walk into Town. We paid £39 per room per night (plus breakfasts). Very good value and highly recommended. Just make sure you pick the right rooms!

Room Tip: Rear room, 2nd floor overlooking garden.

This hotel is in a good location, particularly for the station (it's just opposite) but you can also walk very easily to the city centre (or even take the scenic route along the Riverside Walk). There is also an entertainment complex nearby with a range of restaurants, pubs and a cinema.

We were warmly welcomed at reception and given a room on the car park side of the hotel. There was no noise from either neighbouring rooms or the street (but this was the Easter Bank Holiday Monday, there are a couple of nearby clubs and if you had a room overlooking the street on a Saturday, there *might* be an issue, as there is with all city centre hotels on a weekend).

Ample free car parking. Room was immaculately clean and you could adjust the heating to suit. Bed was very comfortable, room done out in the usual white and purple basics. Lift out of order when we stayed and the room numbering was a bit odd but really there is very little to fault at this hotel.

I wish that I was advised about the sleep guarantee. I recently stayed for two nights room 408 at this premier inn. Sorry to say, the locality of this hotel is on the main disco strip. Whilst quiet entertaining to watch the young things totter and wobble up and down the strip, the noise from 11pm until around 3.30am was non stop. Police sirens, extremely raised voices at the back of the hotel and all down to inadequate double glazing.
The one member on check in was inundated whilst the rest appeared to watch from the anti room. He had no time to give advice or instructions and who could blame him? I have stayed before and always at the front in the past.
The bed was great, the breakfast was better and the room very clean if rather small.
Trick is, stay at the front and not at the back. I expected something more for my £82 a night experience, and its exactly why I wont be staying there again. Norwich was great, and the train to Sherringham was peanuts. Got a cab to Cromer, great day out and all for £7.50 return. Bon chance!

Room Tip: Front not back. Stay in the block behind the reception. Its further from the main drag.

Hi, we stayed here on Saturday 17th March, no complaints whatsoever about the hotel and its staff.
Our problem was with our paid for up front breakfast, we got downstairs about 08.45 and were instantly seated. As its a buffet style eat as much as you like type, we went to the drinks section first, all was well with that.
Then onto the main event, firstly there were no eggs in any shape or form, offers were invited on the menu to have an omelette but i decided to go for scrambled. Then i was told, scrambled was going to be filled up in a minute and i didnt need to order it. Oh good, i thought, and started loading my plate, having asked twice more as still no eggs, i decided to sit down and start again when the eggs arrived. In the meantime my husband had now eaten his so went to enquire about my eggs, in total we went 7 times to at least 3 different members of staff, but all to no avail. In the end i decided to have my breakfast without eggs so as not to keep hubby waiting any longer.
This was a shame really because as i said earlier, the hotel was fine, we did mention this on check out and am happy to say that Premier Inn deducted the cost of both breakfasts, it will not put me off staying there again.

The location was ideal as we travelled by train and did not want to trek to a hotel with child and suitcases, so a hotel opposite the railway station was manna from heaven and easy access to the city centre as well. Our room overlooked the river. The staff were extremely helpful and polite and caring of our granddaughter. Job done.

Walking distance from the city centre, almost adjacent to the station, with a good restaurant (Table Table) attached; good bed, good breakfast. Easy access to the (surprisingly interesting, with a guide book) Riverside Walk.

We were on the "car park" side of the hotel and noise - on a Norwich City home match weekend - was minimal.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the car park are quieter (which matters through the night); those facing the river are...
