The staff were helpful and friendly, the room was not as big as other premier inns I have stayed at but it was plenty big enough for one person. Breakfast was good. Hotel is close to the shops and the free car parking is a big bonus in the city centre.

Room Tip: Ask for a river view room, it's much nicer that looking out on the car park

We stayed for 3 nights on a long weekend. We arrived very tired but found the hotel very easily. There is ample fee parking, the hotel was full on the Saturday night but there were still spaces available in the car park, The receptionist was very friendly and gave us a map of Norwich and made us feel very welcome. Our room was at the back, smaller than some in this chain but very clean and adequate for a couple. There was a little noise late at night from the night spots but this was minimal and did not lose any sleep but there did appear to be a low humming noise from air conditioning. This may annoy some but it was very slight. The first night we ate in the bar, this was good value for money and again, service was good. The hotel is situated well, with the town center a short walk away and bars, cinema and restaurants a couple of minutes across the bridge. We would definitely stop here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room which overlooks the Car Park.

We stayed here for one night on the bank holiday weekend. The hotel was easy to find with free parking. Check in easy and the reception staff were very pleasant. Room clean tidy and warm with everything that we required and we had been told that if we needed anything else just to ask. Met friends and had a drink in the bar and again the service was good. After a pleasant night sleeps we had breakfast again this was plentiful and also hot. We will hopefully return to this premier inn.

I wasn't looking forward to the experience as I have had less than satisfactory stays in this chain before. The hotel is a very short & easy walk from the station which was a plus and it appears to have a good sized car park. When walking, be careful to follow the signs to the hotel closely or you might end up in a grim and unsavoury gated courtyard that I think is the job centre or similar.
On arrival we were greeted very warmly by a local lady who efficiently had us on our way to our rooms swiftly. The rooms are light, airy, clean and of a good size with all the facilities you need to work and rest. My room overlooked the car park so, apart from the kitchen staff dragging bins or something out in the early morning, it was mainly quiet and peaceful.
The hotel is situated on the canal and is a 10 min walk to city centre so pretty central for exploring or visiting other businesses. I haven’t been to Norwich for over 30 years so it was interesting to see the changes while they seemed to have retained the city character without homogenising it too much.
Irritating things about the hotel: Paying extra for breakfast (why not include it in the normal price?); only 30 mins free wifi – that’s not business friendly.
Overall I was pleasantly surprised as the rooms were comfortable and peaceful and the welcome warm and friendly.

We travelled by rail so the Premier is well placed as just a walk across the road.First class location for shops, sightseeing, restaurants etc. Lovely room overlooking the river and park but the mattress was very hard and we could feel the springs. On enquiry by reception we mentioned this and were refunded our first night and provided with a topper which solved the problem. The downside was the difficulty in finding reception from rail station. We initially walked down steps to riverside access and were appalled at the filth of such a pleasant area. There were piles of cigarette butts, bird poo and litter all over the place and when we eventually found the entrance it was designated a smoking area. Not really appropriate positioning. The restaurant badly let down the hotel and seemed to be understaffed by careless workers. The coffee was cold and supposedly keeping warm in thermos flasks. Filter coffee would have been much more appreciated. We returned to the Premier the following week on our return journey home and were impressed that these problems had been addressed Very clean outside and the restaurant functioned well with the presence of a manager and more efficient staff. Coffee still kept in thermos flasks but at least it was hot!
Well done Norwich Nelson. We recommend and would come again

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking river and/or park are quieter and more pleasant.
