This Premier Inn is slap in the middle of Norwich and if approaching from the wrong direction is easy to drive by, in which case as its a busy junction you will need to pull in at the railway station and turn back, then it all becomes clear!
Plenty of night life which can impede on your sleep quality what with all that rubbish music which gets played in clubs nowadays. We overlooked the car park and the bass was throbbing away until 3ish. Enormous bathroom in our room, you could almost have a party in it. Usual good standards of housekeeping that you'd expect for Premier Inn. No faults to report. I'd use again.

Just returned from an excellent stay at the Nelson City Centre Premier Inn. The staff were very helpful and we were able to book in early which meant we didn't waste time having to return later to check in. The room was very comfortable and we had an undisturbed nights sleep. The location is only 10-15 minutes from most things you need to walk to in Norwich (once you get used to the Cities weird layout!). The only downside to the location is that the bottom end of Rose Lane is looking a bit run down and a number of street lights were out when we returned at about 10:30pm so although we felt safe I would consider using Prince of Wales Road late at night but other than that I would fully recommend the Hotel

Previously agreed arrangements for payment not communicated between staff, took a look time to fix. Them asked for breakfast each morning but again restaurant staff had to sort it out. Evening meals left something to desire, out of a freezer van and this is a Table Table restaurant, allegedly the top of the Whitbread range! Friendly staff trying hard to be helpful.

We stayed four nights and really had nothing serous to complain about . Our only niggle was the noise of the men working on the roof outside our window. This did not in fact stop us sleeping, but when we mentioned it at reception they immediately refunded one night's charge as compensation .

Otherwise, the room was extremely comfortable and they even supplied extra furniture when we asked.

The 30 minute free I-fi a day was a lot better than nothing. Breakfast was first rate, with everything we wanted.

Location is as near perfect as you can get, looking out onto the riverside walk and with everything in Norwich within a few minutes walking distance.

There are not many hotels I would recommend without reservation, but this is one of them.

Room Tip: Rooms in the extension are quieter.

Stayed here for a weekend as we had a gig at the Waterfront.. The location is perfect as you are literally within spitting distance of the railway station, although you don't hear any trains..
We had a room looking out onto the river which was lovely..
In the bar, the barman chilled our wine glasses for us even though the wine was chilled... Really nice touch..
Only thing that let it down was the check in... Staff were pleasant but slow

Stayed here with friends for 2 nights. Rooms were comfortable but no opening window so a little warm at times. The bathrooms are clean on the face of it but the cleaners need to get into corners a little more often and the towels are getting a bit thin and some need replacing. Very good breakfasts and parking is free when guests of the hotel. A short walk into the city down Price of Wales Road which is now unfortunately a little shabby but of course of the rest of the city makes up for this.
