Great venue and tasteful decor. Food was good but service too slow and young waitress mucked up our order which was disappointing as it was my daughter's birthday. Willing to give it one more go though.
Went back with friend for lunch today and still disappointed with service except for one excellent woman who seemed to be the only one working her socks off and was genuinely apologetic for our 35 minute wait for coffee and it was the wrong order when it came!

Front of house needs to interact more with clients and staff need to remember that dining customers in the bar area should not be ignored.

Management need to sort out the staff training as a priority.

Room Tip: Only reviewed restaurant. Did not stay as I live close by.

So the positives -

The design and refurbishment is a breath of fresh air. They have really ticked all the boxes and everywhere you sit has a different feel which means there are no bad tables (Stuck in a corner or by the toilets!).

The Staff are superb! Too many establishments nowadays are bypassing the need to train their FOH staff but there is a real feel that they enjoy working there without the need for a fake smile. Its not just one or two either, I have probably spoken to 6-8 of the service staff and they are all attentive without being intrusive, good mix.

The Garden is without a doubt the best in Norwich, nice touch with the Ping Pong table and BBQ area. Looks like its designed for 365 days of the year too with the barns at the bottom equipped with open fires and comfy seating.

The Negatives -

My only issue and its quite a big one is the food. The Golden Triangle is a bustling hive of quirky restaurants and fantastic pub menus and part of me hoped that The GTH sitting on the point of said triangle would lead the competition and offer something just a little bit more innovative. I have eaten here 3 times now including a trip to the BBQ area on the Garden. I think in a nutshell the food is just ok. The menu is a little limited and consists of the regular 'pub grub' you would expect but at slightly higher prices. Maybe my expectations are slightly too high but I feel with a few tweaks and maybe some exciting daily changing specials this place would be simply Awesome!!!
