I adore this place the lovely walled gardens the beautiful grounds and the house . My children enjoy it too . The little cafe serves some hot and cold food and a really good coffee .
We had not been here for 13 years. I only remembered some of it, The hall is very interesting. Make sure to look up at the ceilings. What has been refurbished has been done well. Volunteers were most helpful and informative. There were baby doves which were so sweet. Easy parking, nice tea room.
First visited this Hall in 1967 when the private owners allowed Boy Scouts to camp in woods. 50 years later and now owned by National Trust it has a couple good walks. Loved it.
Great value helpful staff very tranquil and relaxing stop.
Lots of things for children and famines to do in the large grounds.
Beautiful country house and gardens, very clean, good toilet facilities, and baby changing, and disabled. Good restaurant, super fresh cream teas, cakes and pastries
We visited the grounds of Felbrigg Hall today. We wanted somewhere close (was aprox 30 minutes drive from our home) & somewhere to walk. There was a 10yr old & almost 12yr old to satisfy & me (I'm 39 :) ) Our 1yr old twins I 'wear' in a tandem carry pack kind of thing so the terrain needed to be fairly easy on the footing but not smooth.
On arrival (very easy to find) there is a very small free car park just on the right a little way in but the main car park is further along the drive. We were surprised to find it is just £2 to park all day!! Brilliant. (& I just had enough change to stretch, forgot to check.)
The grounds of the hall are breathtakingly beautiful!! There are many walks to choose from around the estate & they are brilliantly signposted (I did print off the route to take with us but of course forgot it) The ground across fields is of course uneven with plenty of mole holes & trees to investigate. We managed just fine though.
The cafe situated near the car park looked really lovely but we took our own snacks & drinks (our children are locusts!!) nibbled as we walked.
Was a beaut walk out today & will definitely be making lots of return visits. We'll also be making sure we have a wander around the hall itself. Really lovely few hours out.
