“Sainsbury Collection”
Reviewed 8 February 2014

The Sainsbury Collection at the UEA is well worth a visit. It is an eclectic mix of ancient artifacts and art mixed in with some very modern paintings and ceramics. The collection of ceramics by Lucie Rie and Hans Coper is fantastic and, if you are interested, well worth viewing. There are also many painting by Francis Bacon that are better than I have seen in any gallery. The university campus is very large and parking is a bit of a nightmare so try and get there early.

“Our Old University”
Reviewed 1 October 2013

Was there from 1972-75 and revisited. Much expanded since our days and I still like the architecture and whole atmosphere of the campus. The Broad is now mature and a beautiful feature. You can see why UEA rates first for student satisfaction.

“Spectacular campus”
Reviewed 25 February 2013

Quite frankly, this is a great place for long walks which is the reason I visited it. The huge campus is located on a river and it is a green oasis. The day I walked there, the grounds had dozens of rabbits hopping around. Very pretty!

“Not just a University”
Reviewed 23 January 2013

The architecture is worth the visit - concrete box residences overlooking the river flood plain.
There is also the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts - many exhibitions are free.
A walk round the lake, through the woods, round the campus - all worthwhile.
Then visit the Sainsbury Centre Coffe Shop etc. for a wonderful view and good coffe, reasonable priced food
