A very unusual setting - the old magistrates court! A visit to the toilet is essential, through a hidden door next to the judges seat.......... staff were very friendly and even lent us a book on the history of the building. Jacket potatoes were good with generous fillings. Scones, jam and cream also good. A cafe with a difference right in the centre of the city.

Hot choc with Baileys to be recommended. Good cakes, pleasant service, reasonable value, cracking location.

Next time I'm trying it with rum.

First time here since re-location. Was nice to have waitress service. Found the whole expierence very pleasant and nothing to complain about, but something is missing that i can't put my finger on. Didn't have any food but it looked very nice and good value for money. Would go again for the historical feel, and to sit upstairs in the 'sofa section'. Nice central location.

joint favourite in norwich

Caley’s Coca Café is located in an old building in the heart of Norwich. In the distant past it was a courtroom and the building still retains some of those features today. A wide and varied menu caters for most tastes and it’s a speedy service by efficient staff. Caley’s chocolates were a prominent business in Norwich but it is a very small operation today and you can purchase a variety of chocolates at the counter. A good place to visit. We have two favourite cafes in Norwich, Caley’s Coca Café and No: 33 [see separate review]

I tend to find hot chocolate a bit on the sweet side and lacking in chocolate on the palate. Not so here, we visited Caley’s on two separate occasions for good sized mugs of hot chocolate which came with a top-up.

Situated within the old Guildhall in the old meeting room, bedecked with Caley’s posters from bygone years. We succumbed to their gentle selling and bought some chocolate and chocolates to take away.
