Four of us ended up here as we were hungry. Food was acceptable and I thought it was not expensive. Interesting situation eating in the public gallery of an old court

I went her with family for lunch. We had jacket potatoes, which are hard to cook badly but they managed it. It was barely edible and had a tuber through the middle. When we mentioned it to the waitress, she said that they couldn't help it because the weather had affected the quality of the produce. This was a disappointing response and untrue. If they are unable to provide reasonable quality produce they should change their supplier ..... or buy their spuds from sainsburys who's potatoes are unaffected by the weather. This was my one and only visit. There are better places to eat.

A very unusual setting - the old magistrates court! A visit to the toilet is essential, through a hidden door next to the judges seat.......... staff were very friendly and even lent us a book on the history of the building. Jacket potatoes were good with generous fillings. Scones, jam and cream also good. A cafe with a difference right in the centre of the city.

Hot choc with Baileys to be recommended. Good cakes, pleasant service, reasonable value, cracking location.

Next time I'm trying it with rum.

First time here since re-location. Was nice to have waitress service. Found the whole expierence very pleasant and nothing to complain about, but something is missing that i can't put my finger on. Didn't have any food but it looked very nice and good value for money. Would go again for the historical feel, and to sit upstairs in the 'sofa section'. Nice central location.
