I booked 4 single rooms for myself and friends on a golfing holiday in Norfolk. It is an old fashioned hotel, quite clean with good food. 3 floors with no lift, it is not difficult to climb. We took an all inclusive package including dinner which was great value for money. It is well used by commercial clients which is a good recommendation. I would certainly go there again.

This is a very nice hotel, at a decent price. The room was spacious and quiet. Breakfast was decent and the meals they provide for room service were really nice (and huge portions). The only downside is that it is not walking distance from the city centre, but in any case there are many local buses for the centre and the train station.

Stayed here for 2 nights for a family wedding. Lovely weekend but this hotel is priced way to high. Could do with being refurbished and freshened up.
Food was lovely all weekend which was nice and staff friendly and helpful.
It is a place I would stay at again if they were better priced.

Booked 2 night stay (dinner B & B Groupon offer) - excellent deal. Trip from North East England for family visit. A very acceptable 2 day stay - only problem was extractor fan in extensive bathroom not working leaving steamy situation for some time after showering. Advised reception early next morning - they stated would fix - not completed when returned after day out, to shower for dinner - again told would get sorted by maintenance. Also advised reception tea & coffee facilities not cleaned or replenished. On arriving at restaurant for dinner, advised duty manager of our problems - he took charge immediately despite being very busy, sorted t & c and apologised for extractor fan problem not being fixed - gave us another bottle of wine at table. It was only on checking out that we were advised why extractor fan not fixed and why we were not offered an alternative room. Great pity that these 2 small problems marred our visit to this hotel which we have visited on many occasions over the past 20+ years (including having our 40th anniv. at the hotel in 2009). The restaurant service, food and bar facilities were excellent as usual. We strongly recommend this hotel despite the hiccup

Had a lovely time at the Oaklands. Breakfast was very nice, lots too choose from! Shelby on reception really made out stay special though. Really lovely, down to earth girl, extremely professional but got a lot of banter as well. She genuinely wanted to know we were 100% happy with everything! I would recommend this hotel to anyone just to go meet the lovely receptionist!
