I had high hopes for this cafe after reading other reviews but it didn't quite live up to expectations. We sat on the first floor - nice decor and pretty flowers in the window boxes.
There are several good signs, such as sausage rolls and pies made on the premises. The home-made cakes are good and there are nice loose leaf teas.
Savoury items were a little more mixed. "Poshage roll" (vegetarian sausage roll) was enjoyable though not as substantial as I'd hoped. We also had a chicken baguette - my friend found the bread a little tough and, he thought, not as fresh as it might be - and a toasted ciabatta sandwich which was about half the size of the baguette so not great value for £5.60. Although advertised as toasted, slightly warmed would have been more accurate and the cheese inside wasn't melted. However the coleslaw served alongside was nice (it came with some lettuce leaves too).
They also serve breakfasts, afternoon teas and soup. It would have been nice to see a vegetarian soup option.

Walking back from visiting St Peter Mancroft Church and we stumbled upon this lovely and cute looking restaurant. They had plenty of seating outside in the sun but preferred to stay away from the smokers and thus headed upstairs to their dining area above the kitchen.

Observations
- The menu was contained in small books and very crafty looking
- One waiter had started their first shift on a Saturday

Positives
- Prompt service from waiters
- Extensive menu catering to different tastes
- Additional bread was provided when asked to assist with the massive serving in the Ploughman's lunch

Keep in mind:
- Only a ten minute walk to/from St Peter Mancroft Church
- Toilets located up two flights of stairs

In summary:
Service - Quick and positive
Food - Very tasty and generous servings (Ploughman lunch, pork pulled main)
Value - Good quality food to the price paid
Atmosphere - Nice enough to take Granny out for a cup of tea or a mate for a coffee
Bar Scene - N/A
Outdoor Seating - Plenty of seats and tables out the front but the usual downsides of dealing with lingering cigarette smoke

We stopped here for tea and cake on Saturday. We had a table outside to enjoy the sunshine. The Guinness cake was truly amazing and the tea leaf tea served in bone china tea cups was perfect. With friendly staff and talented bakers this is an absolute must visit :)

Stopped by here last Friday for tea and scones and really enjoyed it. Sat outside and was served a really tasty warm fruit scone with generous helpings of jam and clotted cream. A good size teapot with proper leaf tea all served in original bone china. Definitely recommend.
