Arrived Sat afternoon for a 3-night stay - first experience of a Premier Inn.
Room 125 was almost the furthest from reception but a nice surprise to see such a large room - must have been a family room - with a chaise longue sofa in the corner!

Good parking - which was one reason we chose it - but being next to the Showground the roads were very clogged on the Sunday morning due to a Dog Show event.
Best thing about the stay was a very comfortable bed, and sleeping was made easier by the fact that the curtains afforded a real 'blackout' and we managed to sleep in late in spite of the road outside the window.

Other room facilities all pretty standard but we did enjoy the benefit of not one but two fans - one freestanding and one desk fan. Find hard to believe that all rooms would have these.

Breakfast takes place at the 'Table, Table' restaurant next door - surely someone could have spent a bit longer thinking of a better name than that! We didn't eat there in the evenings, although it appeared to be busy, and menu looked like very standard fare - perhaps that's what PI customers want? However, don't waste your money on the breakfast. £6.25 for a continental breakfast sounds OK compared to some hotels but coffee was ordinary and croissants had just come out of the freezer - plus you had to mingle with families in tracksuits with a dozen kids. Better advice is to go 2 minutes round the corner to the Sainsburys Longwater store - one of the biggest in the UK - and take your pick of slightly fresher food in their 1st floor cafe/restaurant.

Room Tip: Ask for one with a fan!

We stayed here for one night on a small break, the room was very clean and the beds comfy. The room was on the hot side, but two fans were provided. The bathroom was very modern and fresh. The restaurant next to the hotel was very good, the staff were friendly and very efficient.

I was unable to book on line using any special offer therefore had to pay full price.
The bathroom in the disabled room was very dirty and smelled of urine.
There was no one meal that either had to be sent back or not properly cooked. Overall very disappointed

As other reviews have said, the lack of air conditioning is quite a drawback in this Premier Inn - if the windows have to be opened to keep cool the traffic noise is obtrusive. We regualrly stay at a large number of hotels in this hotel chain and found this one below par - room 111 had low pressure hot water (took long time to fill bath and no cold water was needed as water only just warm enough) and extractor fan in bathroom very noisy. Spoke to very helpful and friendly receptionists but little could be done. Avoid room 111 if you can.

As this was one of four places we stayed in UK during a fortnight visit, the relatively poor value was apparent. The place has no aircon and with small restricted windows on a hot night it was really unpleasant. They may try to suggest that's fair enough for a "budget" chain but the hotel we stayed at the night before had aircon and proper 4 star rooms and amenities AND full breakfast buffet for roughly the same price as this extremely basic Premier with chargeable breakfast in a separate building (no fun in the rain ... which fortunately we didn't get as we had the opposite weather). The B&B's we stayed in subsequently all of course included proper breakfasts and the rooms were nicer. They also had no aircon but were not stuffy like the Premier box.
So what about that stupid "a good night's sleep or your money back" tagline from Premier Inn? - just marketing baloney! Of course they have no intention of applying that empty promise to a routine weakness like this - presumably the hotel has to catch fire to trigger that 'guarantee'.

Room Tip: Stay somewhere else. They don't have "good" rooms and anyway they didn't offer a...
