“Haven of Peace”

We moved here from a very poor hotel in Great Yarmouth. The Premier Inn is very close to Norwich City Centre (5 mins walk) but is quiet and very comfortable. Perhaps all Premier Inns are the same - well I say that is great.
Great base for a holiday in the area and a very relaxing place to stay. We stayed for 5 nights and I would return any time.
The beds are huge and very comfortable. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast good but dinner menu could be improved.

Room Tip: Ask for one at the front of the hotel - it is quieter at night.

Stayed their three nights, have never stayed at a Premier Inn before, have been to Norwich before stayed at their highest rated hotel, and did not like it. Thought we would try something new, not good. VERY HARD beds, three were less than three channels on TV, but a ton of music channels. The food was bad. Avoid it if you can. he AC did not work in three of the five rooms we had. Very nice staff however.

We stayed for four nights for an international conference. It is a very basic hotel with no extra services - they don't even offer a laundry service ( I had to go a couple of miles away to get it done on my own).

The extras they do provide (internet and food in the restaurant) are overpriced (like the hotel itself), although the buffet breaksfast was very good. I was under the weather for one day and wanted to have a light kunch in the hotel. Food was not served until after 2:00 p.m!? It was quite good, though.

The room was adequate and clean, but the hallways are worn and scruffy.

On the good side, the service was good and the staff very friendly and helpful. Also, free parking just down the street is a bonus.

Room Tip: Our air conditioner had obviously not worked for some time. We didn't need it, but check if you...

The rooms in premier inns are excellent and this one is no exception. Just dont eat in the restaurant, worse meals we've had in Prem Inn., overpriced and minimul quantity ignore the hype about those 'delicious meals'

Room Tip: Get a room at the rear of the Hotel

Very good hotel, excellent position for visiting Norwich. The multi-storey car park was a stones throw and the free parking could not be faulted. The reception staff were efficient and friendly throughout and we greatly appreciated the walking instructions to the cinema which were printed off for us. The bedroom was clean and bright as was the bathroom. Only criticism might be the scrambled eggs at breaakfast which looked to have been hanging around for some time although the alternative poached eggs were produced quickly, and they were poached, not baked. Also it would be nice to have tea and coffee served at the table rather than from flasks. However having said that there was a good choice at breakfast in a pleasant breakfast room. A very pleasant stay and we would stay again at this hotel and would now consider other Premier Inns.

we arrived late and had to leave early - the staff were very helpful. we were able to breakfast early.

the only downside was the noise outside as it was a warm night we had the window open. i suppose it is to be expected from a city centre location and it wasn't too bad.

This was a super hotel. It was clean bright and well appointed. The location was perfect for exploring the City. The bedroom exactly what one would expect from a Premier Inn. The free nearby parking was a boon. The restaurant food was good and the staff were unfailingly cheerful and helpful. The price was excellent. So why the "BUT". Alas our aircon was broken. On arrival the outside air temperature was 24/25 and the room was warm. By the time we went to bed it was stiflingly hot. The window had ridiculous (health and safety) stays which meant it could not be opened more than an inch or two. Moreover there is a large pub garden nearby which on the two nights we were there was heaving with a very noisy clientele until the early hours. If the aircon had been working all would have been well. As it was trying to sleep was hell and we both lay like standed starfish sweating in the dark trying to catch whatever breeze could get through the tiny aperture whilst listening to the cacophony from the pub. This is where the Prmier Inn "refund if you don't get a good nights sleep" came in very useful! Make no mistake this Hotel ticks all the right boxes and we look forward to staying there again. However make certain on arrival that the aircon works. The everso helpful staff said about 30 of the 117 rooms were affected by the aircon problem. Our mistake was stupidly thinking that the second night would be better. It wasn't! Our fault entirely.
