Very modern centrally located Premier Inn, easily located with my trusty sat nav. Followed directions in the booking confirmation to park in the adjacent multi storey car park and walked the 100 yards or so to the hotel. First impressions excellent - friendly and cheerful staff processed my booking very efficiently. Security is very good - most internal doors require the key card to access, which I think is an excellent idea.

Room was of a good quality, with flat screen TV, bath/power shower and an air conditioner - pretty much standard Premier Inn fare. Have stayed in many Premier Inns for business and leisure but made the mistake this time of booking a twin room, rather than a double.

The single beds are ridiculously short, but I am not sure if this specific to this hotel or in general across the chain.... probably the latter. Managed a reasonable night sleep by putting the mattress on the floor. Aware of the Good Night Guarantee - but as I booked this type of room, I felt it was my own fault! At least I'll make sure that it's a double room in future.

All in all, highly recommended. Staff are great, hotel smart, clean and comfortable... what more can you ask for?

We've stayed in both Norwich city centre Premier Inns and this is overall the better. It is well situated and modern. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful, car parking is a couple of minutes away in a a secure multistory and is free for guests. Our main gripe was the floor noise from upstairs - the first night it started around 2330hrs and lasted about 1/2hr but the next night (Saturday) the upstairs guests arrived back around 0430hrs in the morning and it woke us up. I have to say we always find the beds lumpy but this is an individual issue as our friends found it ok. Another gripe is the very small eating area -especially as there was a coach tour sitting at a large table setting for breakfast and staff were run off their feet but still attentive to their credit. We had booked a £29 per night deal which was very good value but would recommend you skip the costly hotel breakfast and visit the nearby Weatherspoons or a department store - it will be cheaper and calmer!

Stayed at the premier inn for the first time for a weekend away to see relatives in the area.
room was above my expectations larger than average room size plenty of hot water, decent shower , flat screen tv with freeview ( handy for the kids ) tea / coffee tray. decent reasonably priced restaurant on site under £15 for 3 courses and kids ate free ( didnt have breakfast ) . prob between holiday inn and crowne plaza .

couple of cons , had a family room with a pull out bed for my 6 year old which he thought was fab otherwise the double bed unfortunately was super soft plus it was 2 divans pushed together with no padding to cover the join and i ended up with back ache for the rest of the day due to it ouch ...... !!!! plus could hear the person upstairs walking around
which was a bit annoying when we were trying to get to sleep they weren't being exceptionally noisy but obviously the soundproofing is an issue. internet wasn't free but i had my own dongle but the signal kept dropping out so in a bit of black spot.

parking was free at the local car park 2 mins walk away just had to get the hotel to stamp the ticket which was a nice touch.

But other than that had a reasonable stay and would prob stay again ( on the top floor with a proper double bed )

Stayed here twice in the last month. Centrally located in the city. Reservation made easily via their website. Quick check in, friendly and efficient staff. The room was clean and uncluttered, had a double bed the second time (single beds a bit too short for me). Ate in the restaurant in the evening OK steak, breakfast fine as well. First visit was a bit confusing regarding car parking arrangements although what you need to do is park in St Andrew's Car Park in Duke St. which is on the RHS just before you get to the Premier Inn, take the parking ticket to the hotel and they will endorse it for you.
No complaints about this Premier Inn.
And by the way if you want to go for a stroll head off to the 'Fat Cat', CAMERA Pub of the Year (4 times) only 10-15 minutes walk away!

My wife and I stayed here on our annual trip to Thursford and it was our fifth Premier Inn stay this year and defiantly the best.
As always very clean, room with friendly staff , the breakfast was great ,but the evening meal was only average, not nearly as tasty as our Woking Premier Inn restaurant .
The restaurant service and staff were also excellent.
We look forward to our long weekend next year in our favourite city, at this Premier Inn.

-Rooms were clean and spacious, standard Premier Inn, felt new and well maintained
-Was about a 5-10 minute walk from the town centre
-Staff were friendly and helpful
-Staff located us in adjacent rooms, this is convenient for meetings etc; I've been in other hotels on business and we have been spread out over several floors!!
-You need your key card to get to your room through . . . 3/4 security doors . . . you are definitely secure, but this was a little annoying whilst carrying a case maybe 1/2 secure doors would be enough - fortunately you can escape without swiping!!
-The cooked breakfast was a bit greasy (avoid the sausages and mushrooms) shame as it let the hotel down, there was plenty of buffet style cereal, fruit, croissants, toast though - I abandoned most of my breakfast, but enjoyed the other items on offer that were fresh and tasty.
-Bar prices were reasonable

-I'd definitely use this hotel again for business or leisure as it was great value for money and apart from a slightly greasy cooked breakfast and slightly annoying security doors, which aren't the end of the world I have no complaints or concerns.
