“Great Stay !”
Reviewed 20 September 2010

We stayed for 1 night August bank holiday as we were visiting friends in Sheringham. We arrived in the evening and were greeted by a lovely man on reception. He was very helpful in every way and told us the best place to leave our car for the night. This was a multi storey a few yards down the road which had lights and security. Our room was very clean and the bed was enormous. The hotel is on a main road but we didnt hear much traffic noise and had a great night sleep. Breakfast was superb, even the chef came out and took the time to chat to each table , giving the smaller kids goodie bags . All the staff were exceptionally friendly , we would have stayed another night but had work the next day. If we ever needed to stay in Norwich we would definately stay here again.

We stayed at this hotel for one night in August and would certainly choose to stay there again. Our room was large and very clean - with a very large double bed, air conditioning, tea and coffee, hair dryer. Good bathroom with bath and shower. My only complaint was that the mattress was on the soft side - but then I like hard beds. The hotel is very well situated in the city centre. Breakfast was very good (and vegetarian sausages too!). This hotel compared very favourably with other, far more expensive hotels that we have used in the UK recently.

We stayed at this hotel several years ago when it was a Swallow hotel and this was a much better experience. The rooms were very comfortable with a view of the river and a proper bath. Hotel and restaurant staff were helpful and pleasant at all times.

We would definitely return for a sightseeing trip as we were too busy to see much of the city. The hotel is very conveniently situated.

The only criticism was that there was a charge to use the internet and it was not made clear that this was the case for WiFi or how much it might be. It only seems to be a feature of the big chains and sometimes feels like a licence to print money!

Clean, comfortable modern hotel which ticked every box for what we wanted. Good night's sleep, extremely helpful staff, free car parking and central location. Even got a call from them on the morning of my stay to tell me how the parking worked, and what the postcode of the car park was to put into my satnav. Very impressed.

Those who have not stayed in a Premier Inn may wonder why this place is popular. It may be a chain hotel with no particular character but the rooms are a good size, the price includes a full day’s parking on the day of arrival and departure (and any days between) in the car park that is about 100 yards away. The hotel is within 5-10 minutes walk of most parts of the City centre. Breakfast is in the hotel’s own restaurant is standard Premier Inn and perfectly satisfactory. The restaurant also does dinner, but there is a good choice of restaurants within easy walking distance. Although close to the centre, during our (midweek) stay the area was relatively quiet and we slept well.

The best test of whether a hotel is good is whether you would go back and we will without hesitation. Really good hotel for any visit to Norwich city centre

Just came back from 4 nights at this Hotel, and I have to say I have no complaints. I'm expect a very good level of service, so for me to say that is rare. Booking in was easy, and the location was great for seeing Norwich. The best surprise was having a proper Air Con unit in each room which was bliss considering our stay was during the hot spell. We didn't have breakfast here as we find the Premiere Inn breakfast too overwelming when all we might want is a bacon, and hash brown sandwich for a couple of pounds. Therefore we ate a a well known pub chain 5 minutes walk from the Hotel which did a 7am breakfast. We also didn't get to eat here in the Evening due to plans we had each day but on one occasion did have a bar snack which was rather nice. The rooms are opened, and operated by an key crad which you have to put in the slot just inside each room to activate the power. If I was to stay in Norwich again this Hotel would be top of my list, not only for location, and quality of the rooms, but the fact that the rooms were very clean, and attended too early in the day. The staff were also very firendly, and helpful.
