Out dated hotel, cheap and cheerful. Near the city centre (within walking distance) just used hotel to sleep in and went to the local wetherspoons for breakfast. Breakfast was £8.50 pp

Issues with the bathroom needed new bath panel and the shower head holder fixing.

But the Bed was very comfy and clean.

A basic hotel with friendly staff and 24 hour service. The public areas are nicely decorated and the entire hotel is clean but the hotel rooms while spacious are very dated and really in need of a comprehensive refurbishment. Shower is okay.

Room Tip: Look to pay rates typical for a private B&B or basic budget hotel (up to £70/night). Advertised...

Stayed there for 10 days. Great value for your money. Found the location perfect as only 5 min walk from Norwich railway station. Room was spaciou and comfortable. Overall average hotel with friendly staff and convenient location. would stay there again

I was looking for an inexpensive hotel room for one night in Norwich and booked this hotel online. Then I read the reviews on Tripadvisor and got a little worried. For no reason whatsoever, because here is what I experienced:

An old-fashioned place, but freshly wallpapered and carpeted, free parking, a smoker's room as requested (unlike the big chains who don't offer those any more), a friendly and efficient check-in and check-out, friendly and helpful staff, a clean and tidy room, a clean and tidy bathroom with clean towels, soap and shampoo, a good night's sleep in a comfortable clean bed, a trip back in time where the furnishings are concerned, but all in good state and full functional order, a functioning kettle and everything in place to fix myself a coffee in the morning - all in all a pleasant stay for a bargain price. Would book again, good value for money.

We stayed here after watching a football match at norwich. The location was great for the stadium and the town centre. The hotel itself is very dated, the walls are that 70's Brown colour and the lift had a door and a sliding door to get in, very old fashioned. The carpet was again a 1970's red carpet with yellow flowers. The floorboards were creaky and the lino in the bathroom was hardly attached to the floor. Must say the staff were all very nice and the hotel was very clean throughout. Didnt notice the smell some others mention, the window was open though when we arrived so the room was freezing.
Over all good enough for a one might stay, no longer.

ROOM 27

I stayed here on the 1st of february 2014,

It started off bad when i arrived and there was an eastern european man standing in reception in a blue tracksuit completely drunk out of his face with a carrier bag full of been who then proceeded to verbally abuse me and ask for money as i checked in. The receptionist made no effort to stop this happening. After checking in to my room which smelled of smoke and was cold because the window was wide open to try and mask this with an outside temperature of 2c. I think proceeded to have a shower and upon entering the bathroom was greeted with a broken shelf on the sink that had been Gaffa tapped back on with poor effort ( see picture). after turning on the tap it spat out water with air constantly as did the shower which was either boiling hot or freezing cold. being woken at 3am by people running around the hallways i went back to sleep only to be awoken by an almighty draught that was coming under a fire exit door that was in my room which had clearly been wedged open by housekeeping.

On leaving in the morning i stood at reception for 3 to 4 minute to dispute my stay but there was no member of staff in sight and i had to be at the airport to fly abroad, whilst there another guest was saying how awful her stay was and that the sign that read " Sorry for any disturbance during the refurbishment work" had been in the same place for 2 years ???

Room Tip: Avoid it at all costs

Terrible hotel(if u can call it that) blankets/decor are something out of the 70s with a very strong damp smell and stale cigarettes there was even a bag covering up the smoke alarm to stop it going of while people was smoking in the rooms . The owners are old sweet couple but cant handle what they got and cant modernise . AVOID!!!!!! DIDNT EVEN SATY 15 MINUTES luckily my company was paying and I drove two hours home after finishing work just so I could sleep!
