Stayed one Saturday night. Staff were fine but the hotel has seen better days and there has been no attempt to fix the obvious tattiness. OK, it wasn't expensive (£68) but the bathroom had a rusting and useless towel rack, a cracked bath panel, and a door that didn't shut - there's not excuse for any of this.

Breakfast was cheerfully served and acceptable for the price.

Room tip: Hmm, best to shop around

Maybe you are booking this hotel for your enemy who must have committed a truly dreadful and unforgivable act.. but still probably too harsh to book this hotel!

Where do I begin? The carpet in the hall leading to the room was dirty but I still held on to the hope of the decent rooms I had seen the pictures of. As I opened the door, I could not help but notice that the carpet in the room continued with the dirty theme and any hope I had was shattered by the horrific smell in the room! The room was unrecognisable to the pictures I had seen; exaggeration of the room in the pictures is too polite and a lie. Conned is a more appropriate word. But it could be worse I thought, for the price what did I really expect.

And then I opened the bathroom. I do not have words to describe the bathroom. Instead, form your own words from the pictures I took on my phone. All I thought was why did I book this hotel? And then I saw ‘multiple white’ stains on the sheets!
If you wish to simply lay your head for 4 hours near the train station and do not spend any more time at the hotel, then consider booking this hotel. Bare in mind, that is the same reason why a person would sleep at a bench in a train station which is cheaper, more convenient and probably more hygienic so give that option serious consideration.
Hence I ask, why book this hotel?

I made the mistake of not reading the review before booking this hotel because after we stayed here i did and they where spot on we had a one day stay here to watch a Norwich city game with hotel in walking distance that is a plus On arrival it does not look to bad could do with a bit of tiding up we checked in all looked ok we where on the second floor and used the loft it was one from the 50,s where you have to slam the steal shutters shut while the outer door is shutting on you not much room in there either. Going in the room there where holes in wall where photos used to hang the furniture was old looked like it was
made in the 50,s and looked it The wardrobe was smashed at the bottom certain parts where still dirty. The shower leaked from the bottom when you turned it on. The WI-FI did NOT work in the room i went to reception twice where they told me they turned the hub up it was not a good stay we slept on top of the covers we will not stay here again i advise anyone going to any hotel read the reviews because we did after and some where worst than mine.
The only good thing about this hotel is the breakfast it was first class and the staff where friendly but we where glad to get away.

Room tip: Go to another hotel

Pretty centrally located in Norwich, Reception staff very competent & efficient, Room small but OK, However very stuffy even with both windows open.
Room 14 Is supposed to be a Disabled room, Needs looking at ,as the shower is a stable affair, when you put the plastic chair in, There is no room to manoeuvre in, or free access to the shower controls, very annoying , So much in fact that I could not use it { I am a leg amputee } Also the shower grab rails are in the wrong place, rendering them useless.... This is important stuff to disabled people , especially in a slippery shower booth.

Decor is in need of modernisation and this is clearly a budget stay but it is walking distance to the city and about £30 cheaper than most other options in a similar location. Reception staff were friendly and helpful, free parking on site too.
