We stayed for one night at this hotel, the service from the minute we walked in, to the moment we left was excellent. Every member of staff was friendly and professional. The Duty Manager Nick Huggins was incredible, and genuinely wanted to ensure every visitors experience was a positive one. He had local knowledge and was able to guide to places in Norwich. He even bought us an extra towel up to our room, realising we would be require extra. The rooms are very clean, and well presented - we stayed in a family room, which contained two large double beds, perfect for the three of us - our daughter enjoyed having a large bed to herself. The bathroom has a good shower - one of life's essentials. The view of Norwich City Football pitch was great, all floodlit in its glory. The breakfast offered a good variety of food catering for a wide taste. The car park was good and reasonable at £4.95 per night.
It is clear that from other reviews the staff at this hotel are well trained - the Holiday Inn should be proud of their staff - especially their duty manager Nick Huggins.

Room Tip: Rooms with a view of the Football pitch add a nice quirky treat to your stay - especially if it'...

Thank you for you positive comments. I have informed and praised Nick for his hard work in maintaining our guest positive stay experience and thank you again for the kind words. Yes we are a short hop skip and jump away from the Riverside Centre and 20 minutes to City Centre. Our room have been designed to be contemporary and includes Italian fitted bathroom fittings to the highest quality for our brand. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day so we focus on delivering this consistently each morning. Our car parking charges are controlled by a professional company and will always be reviewed to make sure we are as competitive as possible on behalf of our guest. Thank you again for your review and we are looking forward to welcoming you back soon. Quinton O’Shea

I stayed here for three nights with two children aged 10 and 16. We all loved it. The room had a fantastic view of norwich city football stadium and my son just loved watching all the per match prep going on there. In the reviews I read the hotel staff were commended for their excellent customer service skills and I was not disappointed, from the moment we checked in until the time we left there was not one single member of staff who let the team down. Everyone really seemed to enjoy what they were doing and love their job. The hotel was clean and everything was new. We ate in the restaurant but preferred the bar food, pizzas were on special offer and were really good. The breakfast was also very good value, although you can get a cheap fry up in the morrisons supermarket just across the road. Norwich is a really beautiful city and is a short walk from the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a short stay, comfortable rooms and excellent service.

I had a wonderful stay that was made even better by the service of the staff. One person in particular was a girl called Emma who was only too glad to help in any way she could. She was very confident, polite with excellent communication skills. A very subtle reminder of what it take to be a fist class employee.

Overall, a great stay made even better by the staff employed at the hotel.

Best Regards Andrew Gray

We spent two nights here as a base for visiting relatives in a family room last week. Our 5 year old son absolutely loved the view from the room because we could pretty much see the whole of Norwich City football pitch. Unfortunately, we were not staying on the Saturday when they were playing but if we had've been we would've had a great view.
The room had everything you needed and was clean but beds were very uncomfortable and small. It's the first family room that we've stayed in for a while that's not had at least least 1 Kingsize bed. We would stay again just because it's convenient for the city and for family but would probably need to book an executive room, for hopefully, more space and comfort!!
Staff on reception were lovely and very friendly. Bar area was nice.

Room Tip: I think odd numbered rooms are the ones with a view of the pitch.....if that's what you want!!

Good location close to the station, restaurants and cinema. Good size room with two comfortable double beds. Shower good but would benefit from increased water pressure. Overlooked road but quiet when (really dirty) window closed. Room very clean. Parking was £4.95 per night and breakfast £9.95 each with vouchers bought from reception. Good buffet breakfast and nice service throughout hotel. Irritating that there is no wi-fi in the rooms. Would use again.

Went to Norwich for the weekend not really having an idea of what to expect. The hotel was lovely with good rooms and very pleasant staff. The location is ideal for a 15 minute walk in to histroic old Norwich with its vast array of shops and history to look at. The breakfast was good and hearty and we had the added bonus of having a view of the pitch which we made full use of to watch the home game. I would certainly recommend this and would consider a return visit to the city and this hotel!

we stayed here whilst visiting family in Norwich for the weekend, which included a match at Carrow Road (NCFC v Panathinaikos). We booked on line and got what we felt was a good rate. We bought tickets to the match separately.

We had a family room facing the pitch (you cannot see the whole of the pitch from the room) which was reasonably comfortable although the standard double bed was a bit on the small side.

It was annoying that we could not open a window as despite the efficient air con the room got stuffy. You cannot fault the cleanliness of the hotel at all and the staff we encountered were friendly and courteous at all times.

The inclusive full breakfast was excellent although we had to queue for a little while on one of the days, but no problem.

The hotel has a deal with a nearby leisure club that allowed us to use the pool and other facilities free of charge.

The Wifi was not working apart from the ground floor.

Parking was alongside the hotel and was very busy, we struggled to find a space when we returned in the evening. The hotel was quiet at night with no disturbance from outside.

All in all a fair hotel but absolutely nothing to get excited about apart from its location in the football ground.
