The Assembly House rocked with laughter at tonight's performance of "Business Affairs", directed by Julie Benfield. Well defined and totally believable characters with excellent timing and delivery....it was slick, polished and highly entertaining....what more could an audience wish for ?

Most recent production is "Black Widow". Mix drama, comedy and thriller and a strong cast and you have another excellent production from this talented company. First started to go to Great Hall in 2015, and seen 10 productions since. Enjoyed every play - well worth going.

We went to see Night Watch last night and WOW what a performance. The leading lady was truly superb, she acted with emotion and real feeling and reeled us into the story totally. She was excellently supported by the leading man who played a fantastic husband and once again was totally in the zone with his part, we sat in th perfect seats to see his face close up and the emotion in his eyes was startling!! The whole cast were well rehearsed and fantastically directed, Helga was played brilliantly and her facial expressions were a triumph, is she really German?? This perfomance would grace the Theatre Royal without a problem. Fantastic night, will go to the next performance.

The Great Hall Theatre Company puts on performances from time to time at The Assembly House in Norwich. The theatre is very intimate, the play taking place in the centre of the room, surrounded on all sides by only 3 rows of terraced seating. You really feel that you are part of the performance.

I understand that this theatre is run by volunteers, but you wouldn't think so as everything is run so professionally and the acting is very good.

We have just seen Rumours, a Neil Simon farce, which was quite brilliantly acted - the best performance we have seen so far at the Great Hall Theatre. And for £9 each - well it's the bargain of the century!

Checkout the pre-theatre supper offer at the Assembly House if you are going to the Great Hall Theatre - £20 per head for a 3 course meal including a carafe of wine in lovely surroundings.
