The house is well situated and the off-road parking was appreciated. Arrival was very easy and key collection with instructions very quick, friendly and simple.
However, the kitchen equipment was minimal: the cooker has no markings left so using the hotplates and oven is guesswork. A large saucepan, a wooden spoon and salad bowl would be good additions. And some salt and pepper as a staple. In the bedrooms we missed having bedside lights. The cleaning left something to be desired, particularly in the kitchen (drawers, etc). A clean bathmat would have been appreciated.
This was a real home from home, and we loved staying there with our kids.
There were a couple of unexpecteds - electric heaters in each room and an electric shower. But it was toasty warm and the bath was huge so ample chance for a hot and relaxing bath as well as a shower.
The bedrooms were large and the beds comfy.
Everything was pristine and we felt really comfortable there. Elizabeth texted to check we were ok and left a useful file of info on the coffee table. There was wifi and TV so everything we needed for relaxed evenings after busy days in the city.
We would definitely recommend to others and would stay there again ourselves next time we visit.
I love Norwich but often stay in hotels. I opted for a change as I was bringing my two little ones and my 13 year old.
The communication from booking my trip till the day we arrived was great.
We visited on the 1st weekend of April 2016 and surprisingly the weather was absolutely gorgeous except a bit of rain in the night.
The house is conveniently located about 5-10 minutes drive from the town centre and shopping area and about 2 mins drive to the riverside and station 3-4 mins.
For those taking public transport, there is a bus stop on the main road just a minute or 2 from the property.
Also on the main road within a short walk around 5 mins you have a petrol station, Co op, Tesco and Aldi and food shops too.
The house has a drive big enough for two cars and a big/ good size garden.
It has 2 entrances although I only ever used one.
The kitchen was clean and tidy with all the utensils you would need like microwave, oven, fridgefreezer and washing machine.
An iron and ironing board was also available.
There was a dining room which had a high chair for babies.
The the living room had 2 sofas and coffee table along with a bookshelf. There was lots of information leaflets , books and games placed there.
There was sky tv and freeview (Now)
The bedrooms were very clean and as requested we had the travel cot ready upon arrival. The main room had a kingsize bed and a double in the other.
Airbeds could have been used in either room if extra people want to accompany you.
The bathroom had a big bath with shower and was a good size too.
We visited wroxham barns in near by wroxham about 15 mins from the house and also visited base activity centre, again about 20 mins away.
The city is beautiful with countless things to do and see.
You will like this property and won't be disappointed.
Good space, convenient location, not difficult to find, all the basics provided, handy for the local conveniences, and friendly communication with owner.
This was a great holiday spot. A real home away from your own. Elizabeth ensured that the property was equipped with essential items. It was clean and is spacious. The property is located to core amenities and all is a walk or bus ride away.
Excellent clean and comfortable place to stay. Convenient for buses so no need to use car to get into town. Quiet yet near supermarkets.
Hugely recommend this site
A nice short break enjoyed in Norwich. Accommodation was good, however the bathroom door didn't close easily and we didn't cook as we had meals out and spent our time in the city, so i can't comnent on the kitchen. Lovely T.V and Sky was a bonus. The bus stops very close by, a small parade of shops 2
minute walk away, including a butchers and 3 small supermarkets. Tesco, Aldi and Co-op. Husband enjoyed the golf. If you fancy a Chinese used Happy View just down the road. Middletons do a lovely steak. If you get a bad weather day then visit The Riverside by the station. Odeon cinema is really good and plenty of eating establishments. We love Norwich and will be back.
