Amanda, our hostess, was very welcoming, right from the moment we stepped in on a late Monday evening. The en-suite first floor room was very spacious, with large French windows offering a spectacular view of the mountains and the greenery. Nicely laid out furnishing and sofa, made it feel like home away from home. My wife compared it with the Taj/ITC luxury hotels that we had stayed a few times back home in India.

Breakfast was downstairs in a large dining room with nice views. We had a good vegetarian breakfast, complete with "vegetarian sausage" and crunchy, delicious hash brownies, served with piping hot coffee. Settle Lodge is ideally located within walking distance from the city centre, and is also just a small drive away to Malham and other nearby attractions.

One minor drawback is the lack of wireless connectivity (Perhaps we should have asked, but it was not clear if free wireless was provided, as there was no mention of it in the brochures/welcome kit)

Overall, a very memorable experience, thanks to the warm hospitality and excellent facilities.

We stayed for 2 nights at The Settle Lodge in room 3 which was plenty big enough. On arrival Amanda made us feel very welcome and made us coffee and cake which we enjoyed in the sitting room whilst taking in the lovely view of the hills. The room was really nice, done to a high standard and had a fab view of the hills, the only (really minor) gripe was that the shower wasn't the most powerful. Breakfast was excellent and overall so was the B&B, great value for money and only 5 minutes or so down the road from the town centre.

We had two rooms on the top floor (bit of a challenge getting our cases up the two flights of stairs but once there it is worth it!). The rooms were both delightful - well furnished but not over the top. Great selection of teas, coffee and hot chocolate. Fabulous view of the moor from the windows, comfortable beds - good ensuite and good sized rooms. The hosts were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious!

We were welcomed with tea, cake and helpful ideas for places to visit by Amanda.
Amanda and Eduardo were welcoming and always helpful with ideas for places to eat in the evenings and walk during the day.
The bedroom(room 4) was large and comfortably furnished ,with panoramic views. The bathroom was lovely and supplied with toiletries from The White Company. breakfast was plentiful and always very nice.
We had a very enjoyable stay.
