We stayed for five nights at the end of April, rolling into May. If you are looking for a top grade place to stay, we felt that it would be hard to beat Broadcroft House anywhere. The house is warm and cosy, beautifully appointed in a contemporary style and extremely well run by Cynthia.

Everything is good and I would stay there again without hesitation. Lots of nice touches, home made and locally sourced food - we were very pleased to have stayed there.

For those who don't find stairs easy, all the guest rooms are on the ground floor. If you are looking to stay around Settle, go there.

On the way to north to Scotland we stopped for a night in the North Yorkshire Dales. Broad Croft House was the perfect place to stop after a long drive. Lovely rooms with everything you need including a big slice of chocolate cake on arrival. We had a great sleep and were very comfortable during our stay.

Horton-in-Ribblesdale doesn't have a lot but it's a good place to base yourself for walking in the area and Cynthia recommended a couple of places to eat in nearby Settle.

If you are considering completing the 12 hour 3 peak challenge or require a base to take your time to explore this beautiful area of the Dales, I cannot recommend highly enough the value for money this accomodation provides. Very clean, very tasteful decor, excellent host and peaceful location (5 mins to local Pubs). Exceeded my expectations in everything I would want from a B&B! I will be recommending this B&B to anyone enquiring about doing the 3 peaks!!

Even though accommodation in Horton is limited, this really is top quality at a reasonable price. The rooms provide everything that you need and the breakfast could not be bettered, with so much home made goodies. First class all round.

This is a great little B&B and I'm really glad we found it. The location for people doing the Yorkshire Three Peaks is perfect and Cynthia is geared up for walkers!

Breakfast, cleanliness, decor and service were all fantastic. Room number 3 is small but as we didn't spend much time there it didn't matter that much. For the money, there's no need to look anywhere else.

If there's a chance you might be finishing your walk late then organise your dinner before you go. Cynthia kindly booked a restaurant for us at the last minute but if she hadn't been around then we would've been stuck either with no food or a mad dash to the local pub. Having drunk there the night before, we definitely wanted to eating there too!!

All in all, a great weekend made even better by Broad Croft.

This absolutely lived up to the reputation created on Trip Advisor. The most exceptional B&B with the most wonderful host who can't do enough for her guests. Cynthia's hospitality is second to none as is her home-baking. You really do come 'home' to a different variety of home-made cake (in your room, except when there's something with fresh cream when it's left in the fridge in the breakfast room) every day, wonderful (and divine!). The breakfasts, with home-made bread and veggie sausages for non meat eaters, was gorgeous and because of the fantastic bread (with no shop-bought nasties in it) soo filling; I can't remember the last time I didn't need lunch but I often didn't here!a great location for walking or sightseeing by car, and the birds / peace and tranquility in the immediate surroundings makes this a perfect option. We went as a (same-sex) couple (one of us on crutches recovering from surgery from a broken leg) and were made to feel extremely welcome for our 4-night stay. Absolutely stay here, Cynthia will make it worth every penny, and it's better than excellent value for what you get. See separate review for Craven Arms in Giggleswick for food review, excellent food!

Upon arrival we were immediately taken with the superb view across stonewalled fields filled with sheep across to Pen-y-Ghent. A short walk down the garden path, thoughtfully fitted with sunken lights for night use, led us to the delightful property, a barn luxuriously converted for the 21st century.

My mother and I stayed for three nights in Room 3, a compact, nicely furnished twin bedroom. The peaceful environment and comfortable beds ensured a good night's sleep. The ensuite shower room was small but perfectly adequate for us. The well stocked hospitality tray along with the home made cakes and chocolates found in the room each day were much appreciated. There was a very good choice of items for breakfast, served in the delightful breakfast room, with hot food cooked beautifully to order. Toast was made from home made bread and accompanied by home made marmalade and jams.

Cynthia should be very proud of her B&B and we hope to make a return visit in the near future.
