“Whitby Seasise Cottage”

We had an excellent stay at this cosy cottage. It was very well equipped and included extras, which you would not expect in self catering accommodation i.e. Juice, coffee, tea. Free wifi was a positive extra especially for the children.
It is perfectly situated, with the town and lots of attractions within easy walking distance. The free parking space outside the property was also a plus.
Dawn was always quick to reply and everything was arranged completely hassle free.
Would definitely stay again.

Booking Seaside Cottage was easy! Dawn returned my call and booking was straightforward. You can park directly outside the cottage which made unpacking easy. When you enter the kitchen it's lovely get airy and well maintained with everything you could need. The dining area is well equipped if you want to eat at the table. We loved the front room and the ire was not only a feature but heated the room well. When you go upstairs the bedrooms are amazing the bed and decent pillows were a delight to sleep in. There's storage space in abundance too. Your only minutes from the beach , the shops and restaurant. I highly recommend this cottage it's ideal for families or for groups of friends. I will definitely visit again and recommend to all my friends.

“Cosy, well situated and lovely decorated cottage.”

Lovely cottage which, once warmed up, was very cosy especially as the weather was stormy. Car access is al little tight & glad we didn't have a huge car but it is a great benefit having a car parking space in Whitby. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend and will look to return - perhaps when its a little milder next time as it was very cold on the beach! Another bonus with this cottage was its position as it is very close to shops and amenities but is in a quiet spot so you don't get people passing by. I also loved the decoration which was perfect for a seaside cottage. Thanks for a lovely rental.

“A lovely place in a great setting”

We took our small children for a few days during half term and had a lovely time. The cottage is ideally situated in Whitby, close to the centre in a very quiet part of the town. There is 'off-road' parking for one car but it needs to be noted that this is on a very narrow street and needs a careful driver to get down to the cottage. We have a Renault Megan Grand Scenic and it was a bit of a tight squeeze getting it down, and in particular around the corner at the top of the street (we are talking a couple of inches of room here!!)

Other than that the cottage is ideal with plenty of space for a family of 4. Washer and dishwasher are a bonus, although when we were there the washer didn't work. (the owner is on to this so this shouldn't be a problem in the future) The living room has a good large TV which was good for the children in particular. Bedrooms are a good size too. Nice bathroom but the toilet seat needs securing!!

It is an old place with lots of character. The more safety conscious visiter might question the number of extension leads all over the house but they are mostly pinned to walls/skirting boards so once we explained to our boys not to touch them we were fine. (they had never seen so many!). On the plus side free wi-fi/internet access was much- appreciated.

Dawn, the owner also posted the keys to us a week before which was a really nice touch.

Overall, a really good venue at a reasonable cost. We would return if the opportunity arises.

“Amazing location”

Absolute amazing location and host, unfortunately there was a problem with the electric on the third day, we informed Dawn and she sent an electrician round immediately and even though it was a big job, it was prioritised and done within half a day.
The only downside was the narrow parking, this couldn't be helped and we were lucky to have parking, as whilst looking around, many holiday apartments didn't.
Thanks again, and we'll be back!
