Another great stay - this time for 10 days to join up the Bram Stoker Festival & Goth Weekend. Everything I've said in previous reviews still stands - genuine friendly hosts, fantastic service, great rooms - we've already booked to return next year. We wondered how we'd cope living out of 1 room for 10 days but the room was spacious enough to successfully hide multiple suitcases and we would do it again without hesitation. Breakfasts were always top quality and we tried several of the specials, all delicious. Halloween we had themed confetti and table dressings which was a lovely, fun touch. Great to see the new water feature up and running - we'll have to pay a visit in the warmer months to try out the new garden furniture! Thank you Karen and Garry for making us feel so welcome.

The Leeway is the best B & B in Whitby. My dad, brother and myself stayed there for a few days in September on our holiday from New Zealand. Everything was excellent, the location, lovely rooms, breakfast with homemade jams and marmalades. The little extras in the rooms like slippers and robes go a long way in making the trip memorable. Garry and Karen are fabulous hosts. Nothing is too much trouble. My dad has already asked me to book him in for next year when he's over.

Fantastic welcome(with homemade cake)!
Brilliant hosts :)
Amazing rooms :) we stayed in the smaller Attic room last time and that fantastic too :)
Tassimo in your room so always guaranteed a great coffee :)
Breakfast choice and daily specials are delicious :)
We have been the past two autumns and I wish we could fit in a stay again this year, so needless to say when we visit Whitby again, the Leeway will be where we are heading :)

I have never written a review for somewhere when I'm still there before. I'll make an exception in this case. Quite simply, the best B and B. End of, no argument, full stop. I can't even find anything to nitpick. From walking up the steps on arrival and being whisked into the dining room for a cuppa, slice of homemade cake and a chinwag to the sumptuous breakfast on our last day and, sadly, now packing, it's been perfection. Huge bed, power shower, I could go on and on. Karen and Gary are so attentive and friendly. If you love Whitby, it's the only place to stay. Will we be back? Do fish swim in the sea?

The Leeway was the best B&B we stayed in in England on our recent holiday from Australia and we stayed in quite a few. Lovely rooms with everything you could hope to have - coffee machine, comfortable bed, peace and quiet. The breakfasts are excellent - you must try the homemade jams and marmalade.Garry and Karen are the perfect hosts, friendly and nothing is too much trouble for the; very helpful and altogether lovely people!

Room Tip: The attic is perfect for a couple (don't worry, Garry will cary your bags up!).

Yet again the Leeway lived up to and exceeded all our expectations. A fantastic B and B that we would recommend wholeheartedly without hesitation. It's comfortable, classy, luxurious in its finishing touches and can't wait to go back

We stayed at this little gem of a guest house for two nights on 25th and 26th of October.
We were greeted by Karen and Gary, the owners, who welcomed us with coffee and a slice of Karen's delicious carrot cake. We were staying in the Abbey room which was beautifully decorated and co-ordinated to a very high standard. The rooms were spotless as was the whole of the guest house. Our room had a flatscreen tv with DVD, tea/coffee maker and many little extras which added that special touch and made us feel very welcome. The breakfast was lovely. There was a special to choose from daily but we enjoyed the beautiful cooked full English breakfast on both days so unfortunately never got to sample them. Gary and Karen were very helpful with tips on best eateries in the area. We have already recommended this guest house to friends of ours and will definitely book The Leeway again on our next visit to Whitby.
