I thoroughly agree with everything written about this accommodation. We stayed here for 5 nights , this was our first holiday in England for 30 years ,and we were not disappointed.
More used to the Mediterranean and Caribbean. We fancied a change ,avoiding the airports and long distance travelling we decided to plump for Whitby.
Unfortunately we did not get the weather but the accommodation was excellent.
We could taste good English cooking washed down with good English beer, a thing I miss most on foreign holidays.
It may be awhile before we try a holiday in this country again but if we do I will definitely give the Leeway some consideration.

Room Tip: All rooms are great

Our first time at the Leeway but it wont be our last.We arrived about 11 30am and were greeted by Karen who made us feel right at home with a brew and piece of cake. After this I went to take our case to our room and Karen had already done it [ what a lady ] We stayed in room Scoresby which is on the first floor a beautiful room with everything you needed to make your stay as comfortable as possible.Everywhere was spotless and from what we saw it dosent matter which room you choose as they are all decorated lovely. Both Karen and Gary were very helpful no matter what you needed and the breakfasts were superb and set you up for the day.We have no problem in recommending the Leeway to anyone as our stay was brilliant. We will definitely go back

We felt at home from the first moment on. Karen and Garry are really marvelous hosts and made our stay so comfortable and cosy. It was our second visit but surely not the last in The Leeway.
The rooms are pretty nice decorated. A superb breakfast made for a good start to the day and a large comfortable bed made for restful nights. All in all we can The Leeway recommend to all who want to come to Whitby.

My first time. What can I say? Faultless. Beautiful accommodation, decor is amazing. Karen and Garry are the best hosts. They arranged for flowers and Wine to be in the room to celebrate my Mums birthday. They also supplied a treat at breakfast which wad a lovely surprise. People have an image of bed and breakfast accommodation-this was more like a boutique hotel only a lot friendlier! Go stay there!

From the warm welcome & home made cake on arrival, to the cheery goodbye at the end of our stay The Leeway was brilliant.

The rooms, and the rest of the hotel, are very well decorated. Quite luxurious, without being pretentious.

There are lots of smaller touches other B&Bs don't even think of that made this place stand out for me. There are lots of home made cakes, sauces, marmalade and jams. There is a review book, which proved very useful when trying to choose from Whitbys many eateries. A jar of sweets and a robe each in the rooms are also great.

The breakfasts here are very high standard ( we were surprised to a decorated table and bucksfizz for our anniversary) it's well presented and really good quality. The special breakfasts are very tasty, I had the sausage, cheese &egg bake.

All in all a wonderful place to stay, with friendly, helpful hosts who cannot do enough for you.
