This was our 4th stay at The Leeway and as always Karen and Garry were warm and welcoming. Beautiful room, excellent breakfast and very high standards. I cant recommend The Leeway highly enough to anyone visiting Whitby.

Just stayed here for a couple of nights and right from the start it was excellent, as Karen greeted us with a very welcome cup of tea and some delicious home made cake. Nothing was too much trouble for Karen and Garry, always helpful with local information and recommendations.
We stayed in the Cook room which was light, bright and airy, plenty of room to spread out and a comfy bed.
The breakfast was delicious, fruit, cereals, juice, a daily special or the traditional full English breakfast, always served piping hot.
We would love to stay here again some day and would definitely recommend it.
If i had one little niggle it would be a request for a shelf in the shower for my own toiletries.....but I managed!!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Cook room which is a large 1st floor room with a small shower room. It is at the fr...

Stayed here for a week and can endorse everything said in previous reviews. Nothing was too much trouble from the welcome cuppa on arrival through to an excellent breakfast each day. What I thought was a nice touch was the bottle of Bucksfiz waiting on the table for anyone who had a birthday or anniversary. A nice touch which I have not seen anywhere else.

Rooms are spotless and my bed gave a good nights sleep. The tassimo was easy to operate.I had a private bathroom and the only thing that I found a bit awkward was the shower. Written instructions are supplied. What was a nice touch was to be given some of the toiletries used during my stay to take home. All in all a good week and would stay here again.

We stayed here for the weekend in june and had a fab time. The weather was slightly inclement but the hospitality of Garry and Karen was very welcoming.
The abbey room was clean and roomy with all the things you could wish for, from tassimo coffee maker to pillow mist and luxury toiletries.
The breakfast was excellent, with several specials should you want to order them and the hotel is located very central for easy access to all the delights whitby has to offer.
There is information in the hotel regarding some good restaurants including menus etc. On the whole an excellent stay in whitby, we would definitely stay here again.

Recently stopped here again and our stay was nothing less that perfect. We arrived early on the Friday morning to be met by Garry & Karen, We got parked no problem, bags straight into the room then a cuppa and slice of one of Karens lovely cakes. The accommodation is faultless, the breakfasts 5* as usual. Another very very memorable weekend for us (again). Garry & Karen are the perfect hosts and nothing is a problem, we're booked to go back in October.

Room Tip: Any room is perfect

thank you Karen and Garry for making our stay perfect, just like being at home. nothing to much trouble. this is the only place to stay in Whitby the best breakfast in Yorkshire if not the UK, that's why we are going back in August, if you want the best then The Leeway is the place to stay.

Very friendly owners, yummy breakfast (home made jam), very nice and clean room. A couple of minutes walk from the sea, 10 minutes from the center of town.
Highly recommended and would definitely go back.
