I stayed at the Royal Whitby Hotel and it was amazing. I had a sea view room and my mum had a sea view room aswell. We travelled with Shearings and Stuart 'the coach driver was a great person with a good sense of humour, he is a credit to Shearings. The bed in my room was very comfortable and I had the best nights sleep I've had in years. There was also plenty of hot water for a bath, shower etc. The hotel was very clean and the staff were great i.e. very friendly and smart and the food was excellent, Regina who served us our food deserves a mention as she worked very hard as did all the staff. The receptionist's worked hard and were very friendly. We got the 840 bus to Leeds on the Wednesday which is situated near Whitby train station and we went to Goathland where the famous Heartbeat was filmed. It was the easiest bus journey I've ever had and Goathland was amazing, the people in the village were very friendly and I didn't want to leave. We also went to Pickering, Thornton Le Dale, Helmsley and Scarborough which was snowing heavily but I loved it!
You have to try the Fish and Chips in Whitby as they are tasty!
I am definitely visiting again.
Yorkshire is a great place, go to Whitby and the Royal hotel, you will not be disappointed.More
