Lovely location but a couple of issues took the edge of what would have been an enjoyable stay. The price of the room should be reflected in the attention to detail, there was no milk in the room , so we were unable to make ourselves a cuppa in the morning. Easy mistake to make but i did try to pop down to ask for some, but the owner just appeared to pop his head around to look through the door and then continued with a conversation in the back room. Left shortly after breakfast, waited in the hall to hand in our key and say goodbye only to be waved at as she rushed through as she gestured towards her mouth, which appeared to be full! We waited a few minutes but she didn't return, left our key on the side. Not a good lasting impression.

Sorry that your stay was not enjoyable at the Haven, however we do provide a bell in the hallway which if rung we would have responded to, it is not sufficient to just stand in there and wait, I would have been in the kitchen when guests are due to check out, if you had called out or put your head around the kitchen door you would have seen me at the sink not more than ten feet from the hallway. Regarding my wife hurrying past you, the reason being she had just taken some unpleasant medicine which had to stay in her mouth for two minutes ! Our sincere apologies for the absence of milk in your room, but again if you had rung the bell that could have easily been rectified, if you saw myself look around the door but not approach it was because I was in conversation with another guest, AGAIN if you had rung the bell, I could have excused myself and given you my attention.

Our two nights stay at The Haven was most enjoyable in all respects. We were blessed with 2 days perfect weather and we found the resort most bracing although walking locally was testing and it was a relief to arrive back at The Haven for a rest. Our Room 1 was quiet, spotless, very comfortable with all toiletries provided. We had an interesting sea view also the Abbey ruins were to be seen to the right.Choice of breakfast was excellent and nicely presented. We found Stevie was available at all times, she was most jovial and helpful.Thank you. Room Tip: No.1 room is perfect.Other rooms were highly spoken of

Lovely people, great location, unfortunately the fact that the curtains did not keep any light out meant we had only couple of hours sleep which put a damper on the whole weekend.if this one thing was put right we would have had a fabulous stay
