We stayed here for three nights last week. We e-mailed Caroline the day before and requested a early check-in as we had a 5hour journey, she was very happy for us to check-in at 10am which was great, and you are given a parking permit on arrival. Very friendly and we were quickly shown to our room (3) which was a large family room at the front of the property, which was spotlessly clean. The noise from the Saniflo system in the bathroom is a bit weird to begin with but you don't notice it after a bit. The hotel is perfectly situated with a short walk to the sea front. Breakfast was good with a choice of cooked breakfasts full english, poached egg on toast, kippers etc., very nice atmosphere in the dining room in the morning Robin was very friendly and we were served very promptly and well looked after. We are hoping to go back as the weather was not kind to us (mist) and we are sure that we missed out on the some stunning scenary, and I would not hesitate to book here again. Thank you

Thanks for the nice review. The Saniflo was noisy because a guest had put an item in it which they should not have. It has now been cleared and it working as it should.

A disappointing start as the owners were not expecting three of us (despite booking a family room !). The room we were given was small with a single single sofa bed for our son. Despite its size however, it was very clean and easily good enough for a short stay. Robin is a hospitable host and breakfast was served promptly and was filling enough to last you most of the day. Yes, it's a little dated (our bathroom was not exactly modern) and some of our furniture was on the basic side, but for £70 a night for three of us you can't really complain. If you're looking for a well run, clean, friendly B&B without too many frills and is dog-friendly then this place will do nicely.

We were here for three nights with our extended family. Grandparents, parents, and children. Had a really nice stay. Great breakfast, love the kippers, and clean rooms. The staff are really friendly and we would recommend this place.

The Wentworth Guest House is ideally situated within easy reach of the town centre and the sites Whitby has to offer. It is also a short walk to the higher front in Whitby by the whale bones so nice walks can be had there.
We stopped in room 4 which is on the third floor up so quite steep steps so that needs to kept in mind when booking. The room itself was a good size with one double and a single bed. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was compact with a shower, toilet and sink. As we were in the back the few was the alley way but its an interesting view non the less. The noise was a minimum (well except the Seagulls who are always talking). The TV was on the slightly small size and was not the easiest to see when lying on the bed. The hotel is very clean and well presented with the rooms tastefully decorated. You need to pay £1 to park the car which is up to 4 days which makes it very good value. The hotel has free wifi.
The hotel is dog friendly but the owner did say that dogs are not allowed on the bed which is fair enough. They also do not charge any extra for taking the dog which is even better.
Breakfast is included in the price and you have a chose of cereal, yogurt, breakfast bars and fruit along with a choice of a full english, kippers and other options. When booking the hotel I did check that they could cater for gluten free options and on arrival said again so it was a little disappointing on the first morning to have no gluten free bread, however this was made up for on the second morning when I had gluten free bread and sausages which resulted in a really nice breakfast. So if you are stopping and need gluten free might be worth calling a few days before to double check.
Overall a really nice small family run hotel offering good rooms, nice breakfasts, pleasant hosts and at £60 per night good value.
