Whitby is THE place to get fish and chips and this restaurant is the best! Crispy batter, flaky white cod....and even crinkle cut chips (taking me back to my childhood!).

The staff were friendly and it's within easy reach of the harbour. Highly recommended!

My wife and I visited Saturday evening and were the only 2 people in the place, we ordered basic food, fish and chips and waited. We watched as many people went to the take-away next door and were served very quickly. We still waited, 30 minutes later l asked a passing staff member if we had been forgotten. Within 2 minutes our food arrived. The food was excellent and staff friendly but the actual food service time was very poor and will put visitors off a turn visit I'm sure.

We visited the restaurant in the last couple of weeks and the portions size was very disappointing. Everthing was cooked well although you appear to have become rather frugal - we are local to whitby and have visited many times in the past although the reduction in portion size isnt the only example. Tonight we tried a takeaway and this time the portions were comedic ....barely 25 chips for £1.80. Sorry Fusco's you could do a lot better and perhaps your new website pictures may provide are more accurate representation of the portions provided !!

Being using this place since a kid in the 70's always come back..recommend to people always despite the odd dodgy one.But tonight was the worst ordered a haddock because of long wait as a treat and cod and chips,so thought would be great.Haddock looked large but all batter no fish, unbelievable Cod small and chips under cooked again Wait for half an hour for what,rubbish.
