We stayed for 3 nights here in our motorhome. Fabulous views from the clifftop over the North Sea, and looking back over the countryside to Whitby Abbey. Only a 25 minute walk along the clifftop and down the 199 steps into Whitby itself. So much to see and do here. It's our favourite place to stay in England, so far.

We have only recently returned from yet another stay at Whitby Holiday Park.
For touring caravan owners looking for outstanding views it has to be one of the finest sites in the UK.
The vista towards Saltwick Bay and out to sea is breathtaking, inland towards the ruined Abbey is equally impressive, only marred by the caravans, but then who , as a caravanner can so complain?
The facilities are better than one normally encounters on a touring site of this size.
Not only excellent toilet and shower blocks and more than adequate laundry and washing facilities, but also a shop and club house.
Whilst we stayed in October the area was beset by some very high winds and so for peace of mind we decided to ask if we could move from our pre-booked pitch with superb sea views, to one further back and so less exposed. The reception staff could not have been more accomodating and we were re-located within fifteen minutes.
Whitby itself is a wonderful old fishing port, which if you have not yet visited, you should, and if you have, will wish too again.
So if you are a caravanner this site is highly recommended.

Room Tip: For a seaview pitch 108 is great.

We booked a silver 6 berth caravan in early October for 4 nights. Staff were very friendly and helpful prior to our arrival and whilst on site. The park is wonderfully situated above the cliff top with its own(public) accessible beach immediately below. Its an easy 25 min walk on the cliff path past the Abbey into Whitby.
It was our first trip to the area (we came from Devon) so wanted to explore the coast and surroundings and were able to do this easily with walking and public transport and didn't use the car once in 4 days.
The site was quiet and we didn't require the extra facilities but the shop was reasonably well stocked.
As for the caravan - it could not be faulted - central heating and a luxury power shower. Nice touches like the complimentary toiletries and washing up liquid really made us feel valued.
Thanks for a great stay.

We stayed for 4 nights as a family of 4 from August 1st to 5th. We booked a 6 berth mobile home and when we arrived we were thrilled to find that they had recently installed 4 new homes on site and we had one of them. As a result it was immaculate, spacious with bedding provided, (no towels), complementary toiletries in the bathroom and a dishcloth, tea towel and washing up liquid. Our sea view was spectacular right next to the cliff edge, and we enjoyed sitting out on our wooden decking balcony with a glass of wine. There was a play area for kids, a shop, (stocked with basics), and a pub which was open til 12 but not noisy at all. Overall the park was quiet by 10:30pm and not too noisy before then. All the other mobile homes looked nice as well, and caravan pitches were well placed. You can walk into Whitby along the cliffs towards the Abbey which was nice, (about a 20 min relaxed walk). We found it excellent value for money in August for a family.

We have just come back from a weekend at Whitby Holiday Park. The location is beautiful and perfect for a walk into Whitby and to the Abbey. Just before our holiday my husband had an accident and was in a wheelchair, meaning we needed an accessible caravan. They gave us this at short notice and at no extra cost. It was immaculate, spacious and well equipped beyond our expectations. All the staff we met were friendly, welcoming and helpful. We used the club house in the evenings and again were very impressed. There was entertainment for those who who wanted this and plenty to keep children occupied. I would reccommend the park to anyone and will certainly be returning myself.

Just spent a weekend at Whitby Holiday Park.
The location is good, on the cliffs, 20 mins walk along a cliff path to the Abbey and Whitby town.
We were very impressed with the friendliness of all the staff we encountered, the efficiency of the organisation and the cleanliness of the toilet and shower facilities.
Although the height of the summer season, the site was calm, there were plenty showers and toilets.
There is everything on site that you would need for a good family holiday or a short break.

we have spent a week at whitby holiday park at saltwick bay ,whitby is a lovely place to have a holiday. pleasant people,a nice, happy relaxed atmosphere,we had nice weather all week. lots of cliff walks to whitby ,about 20mins it takes from the caravan park.very bracing and lovely scenery. the stairs to the beach at saltwick are a bit iffy and its slippery in parts ,go to tate hill beach at the bottom of the 199 steps and at low tide you can walk past the headland for fossil hunting etc. its a long way to walk a dog from the caravan park to whitby .fish and chips superb and lots to do. go and be relaxed and enjoy, we hope to go again next year.
