Excellent hotel, great service from arrival to departure, very cheerful and obliging staff. Food was exceptional both in quantity & quality. We come here when we need to relax and enjoy really good food and surroundings. The staff and owners are welcoming and service is always with a smile. Worth every penny. Will be back

We recently stayed at the Seacliffe for a two night stay. It was our second time and we were not disappointed. There were over seventeen of us in our party, and this number included 5 children ranging between the ages of 4 - 13years. The staff were warm, friendly and accomodated our every need. The children in our group were made to feel as though they were no trouble at all and were made to feel at home.

Breakfast was lovely; especially the scrambled eggs with salmon on toast (yum yum!) and dinner was prepared to a high standard.

The location of the hotel is situated just far enough not to be in the hustle and bustle of the town. However, if you chose to walk into town, the stroll is gentle and scenic.

The hotel management have already renovated a number of rooms, which look great. When completed, this will add even more value to the hotel and the ambience.

I can honestly say I'm really looking forward to staying at the Seacliffe once again next year.

The Seacliffe is a bed and breakfast in the small town of Whitby, the accomadations are very nice and they are remodeling rooms to make them more modern. The staff and owners are very friendly and helpful, the food is very good, and there is a small bar to have an after dinner drink. I have stayed there on a couple of occasions and have always enjoyed my stay. The hotel sits on the cliff overlooking the sea which is very picturesque, and located within walking distance to the town of Whitby

Friendly, helpful staff provided good service through our weekend even when busy. Breakfast was promptly served and although they normally open the resturant at 7pm they accomodated our request to eat earlier so we could watch the England match which was much appreciated. The patio at the back is a real sun trap

I, along with my Partner were part of the group of 19 spending 2 nights earlier this month at The Seacliffe celebrating a wedding anniversary. This is the second year running I've stayed and both times have found the staff to be friendly, the service excellent and the rooms good.

If the staff can cope with the large, rather loud and boisterous party that we were (including the 5 children) and still smile and be pleasant then what more could you want for a weekend break.

Our party always say it is the people you go away with that make the holiday , however we always select the Seacliffe to stay in as know we will be well looked after and have a great time no matter what we ask them for ,as we are quite a loud demanding bunch of people. We stayed last weekend when England had their first game and we were celebrating our 2nd wedding anniversary. It was to say the least an activtive and hectic weekend so we stayed and ate at the Seacliffe which was a god send to us as the kids could go to bed and we celebrated into the early hours of the morning. Thankyou to all the staff and see you soon the Vittys :)

I had the misfortune of staying at the Seacliffe in April and to be honest I'm not sure if 'horrified' or 'appalled' would best describe my reaction. The staff looked as if serving customers was the last thing that they'd like to do - they couldn't muster a smile and their manners were entirely absent. The rooms were small, the pricier 'seaview' room had a charming view of rubbish-covered concrete. The food was passable, the decor reminsicent of a smelly golf club and yet again those manners - do NOT dare to ask for anything other than the bill.
