I can't recommend Raithwaite highly enough, they went above & beyond to make our wedding day special! All the guests commented on how fabulous the venue is & how fantastic the food was, topped by the exceptional service from all the staff. The gardens are just beautiful & the bridal bridge makes such a great entry! We enjoyed the spa the day before & never heard anything but good comments about the rooms. The beds are extremely comfortable & the bathrooms very chic & spotless. We are delighted that we had our wedding there & that we have such a fabulous place to revisit for celebrations in the future.

This is a beautiful hotel with equally stunning grounds. My partner and I came here for a night's stay. Upon arrival the door was opened for us and we were warmly welcomed and so we felt instantly relaxed. The staff were very pleasant and took our car to the car park so we didn't have to trail our luggage. The room itself was modern and clean with a walk in shower, and underfloor heating in the bathroom - a nice little treat. Before going out we stopped to have a cuppa and a scone. Lovely, although the scone was a little small for the price. We also enjoyed the pool, sauna and steam room. Would definitely recommend.

had a lovely short break, all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is set in nice surroundings and is very modern, food nice but slightly expensive as we only booked b&b, but service quick. Are room was an executive which had a terrace at the back of hotel, it was very quiet. Nice room with all mod cons, freeview but not all channels. Bath and separate shower in bathroom. Room was cleaned in the morning then turned down in the evening which was a nice touch

Room Tip: try to get a room in main building, as spa and restaurant in there

Excellent reception from Richard on arrival. Room on 2nd floor overlooking wonderful gardens was OK ,bed was comfortable, freeview TV was fine but no Sky channels. Strange brown tinted mirror over dressing table did not please my wife but most frustrating of all was the shower.
Being in our 70's a stool was requested but as none was available had to make do with an oversized garden chair! There was no shelf for toiletries but most concerning no grab rail on the shower wall which left me feeling unsafe when showering.
The meal on our first night of six was in the Poacher's Bar was so disappointing the manager apologised & no charge was offered & accepted
The overall reception of radio(nil) with mobile phone & wi-fi very intermittent causing frustration on numerous occasions. However there was an I-pod dock in the room so future visitors be prepared.
Breakfasts were very good as we're all the staff who went out of their way to help whenever it was needed.
Good for the discerning guest when visiting the North York Moors area but closely check your account on departure as the first item on mine was for the 'no charge' meal on the first evening.
Although quickly removed I left thinking 'was it a try on'? I'll never know!

Room Tip: A room with balcony overlooking the beautiful gardens

This hotel is set in beautiful grounds and the rooms are to a very high standard. The only fault I would mention is that the shower did not have a shelf to put the shampoo etc and you had to keep bending down to get the toiletries. No minibar either, although this did save me cash. Overall, a great place to stay close to the town. The pool and spa area was well equipped and had a good couple of hours in the pool.

Room Tip: Ask for a room not next to the lift. Can be a little noisy in a morning with people going for breakf...

We had a 1 night stay at this hotel . Our room was in a separate building to the main hotel called The Keep which was a fabulous building furnished to a very high standard and had its own separate bar. The decoration of our room and the facilities in the bathroom were excellent. The main hotel is done to a very high standard and the garden is spectacular. We had lunch and drinks in the main hotel bar and then evening drinks and breakfast in The Keep. This hotel is excellent and we can highly recommend. The Staff are however the biggest and best asset to this hotel absolutely everyone who served us or dealt with us gave 5* customer service .
