Once again, we have returned to our second home, Abbotsleigh of Whitby! Sharon and Paul are the perfect hosts, and having tried all the rooms at this place i still can't decide which one is my favourite, they are all equally luxurious! Not much more to say really, we would not stay anywhere else when we visit Whitby! Thanks Guys X

Room Tip: They are all superb!

A superb stay from first to last. The welcome was great, the room excellent, but best of all-the home made muffins.
We've stayed in a lot of b&bs over the years, and this is probably the best of them all.
Thanks for making our stay such a good one, we'll be back.

We stayed for four nights in this very welcoming B&B. Very high standard and nothing too much trouble. Home made biscuits and cakes just a wonderful finishing touch. Our room was excellent with a very comfortable bed. Cannot fault it. Would have no hesitation in returning and recommending Abbotsleigh to friends (and strangers as well)!

This was our second stay at Abbotsleigh. We'd forgot just how lovely the place is, the rooms are all decorated to a high standard with tea and coffee making facilities, and daily delicious homemade biscuits, in each. But the best part is the breakfast, which you order the evening before so you always get just what you want. Abbotsleigh is in the perfect position with the beach only a 5 or 6 minute walk away and the town come harbour a 10 to 15 minute walk. Finally you could not ask for nicer hosts than Sharon and Paul.

My friend and I stayed at The Abbotsleigh for a short break over the Goth weekend in April and found this to be a brilliant base to explore Whitby, in a great location close to the beach and a short walk to the town centre. Yet, quiet enough to get a good nights sleep when needed..

The attentive hosts at the Abbotsleigh are very welcoming and took an active interest in our stay, on arrival we were welcomed with tea and homemade cakes and biscuits.

The room itself was very stylish, clean, cosy and had a very comfortable bed. Perfect warm shower, like standing under a waterfall (unlike some of the cold drips I have had the misfortune of experiencing in other B&B's!)
The hospitality tray had a wide range of teas, coffee and very tasty homemade biscuits once more. Fresh milk is also provided daily, so none of that nasty UHT stuff!

Then there's the breakfasts which don't disappoint! They don't skimp on the portion sized and make sure you have everything you need, sets you up for the day perfectly. All served with a smile and a sense of fun, nothing was too much trouble. Can see why they have the award for this!

A little more expensive than your average B&B, but this isn't your average B&B. The old 'Get what you pay for' rings true here.

Many Thanks for an excellent stay, should we return to Whitby in the future, we will be back.

We have just returned from a wonderful four night stay at Abbotsleigh, Sharon & Paul are excellent host's and make you feel at home right from the start.
Every part of our stay was without fault, from our lovely bedroom to the delicious breakfast's home made cakes and biscuits. The only problem was having to come home we wish we could have stayed longer looking forward to our next stay.
Highly recommended and spotless clean throughout.
Whitby is a perfect seaside town completely unspoilt with lovely cafe's and restaurants.

Room Tip: The Ammonite room is bright, sunny and very comfortable.
