“One of the absolute finest in Whitby.”
Reviewed 10 November 2016 for a stay in November 2016

Gull's Cry is simply our cottage of choice in Whitby. It's a beautiful location, lovingly restored and surprisingly spacious. The location is absolutely ideal for those visiting music events - being roughly halfway between the Spa Pavilion and the town centre - and makes a great headquarters!

The wood beams, handsome fireplaces and charming decor make for wonderful surroundings in the UK's Goth capital. Colin is incredibly pleasant and hands on with our requirements and has great communication.

Absolutely, without a doubt, worth every penny and a gem for any and all who visit.

What an honour to receive such a wonderful review and much appreciated. When guests repeatedly come back, especially professional people such as Jordan and his guests, who take an active part in the Goth events, it means we are doing something right.
That said we still encourage feedback and respond accordingly to maintain the standards to suit all.

“Fabulous cosy cottage”
Reviewed 29 October 2016 for a stay in September 2016

Enjoyed a lovely short stay in this well equipped and centrally situated cottage.
Warm, clean and comfortable. Although Gulls Cry is a stones throw away from the centre of town it is situated in a quiet location and feels very peaceful. The rooms are very tastefully decorated and extremely cosy. Highly recommended.

“Beautiful centrally located cottage right in the middle of whitby”
Reviewed 7 October 2016 for a stay in September 2016

A very well presented property which has been done out & maintained to a very high standard, which can comfortably hold 6 adults.
The Cottage is within sight of the harbour but is nicely tucked away so that its quiet and relaxing despite being in the middle of the town.
The whole family loved staying at Gulls Cry and would gladly stay again next time we head over.
Colin is also very helpful with info on the local area and getting the bookings sorted!

“Magnificent!”
Reviewed 7 October 2016 for a stay in September 2016

Our weekend comprised of 4 adults, for which GullsCry Cottage was perfect.

Location was great for exploring Whitby on foot & further afield with the train station a short walk away. With plenty of help from the owner in suggesting drinking & eating establishments we were spoilt for choice & will have to return to see more.

The cottage itself was finished to a high standard & very very clean. Everything you needed was there & heating was easy to use to retain an ambient temperature. The men were happy with the fact that Sky is available in the living room & bedrooms so they could get their motorsport fix which gave smiles all round. The beds were very comfortable & everyone slept well. Also the automated lights in the bathroom were a godsend during the night too.

Colin was very great with communication & responded quickly to any questions we had.

We will be back as soon as possible to explore further delights of this fantastic place.

Thank you Malcolm for another great review.
I spoke with Malcolm and he said he would have given a 5 Star rating but for the 1 bathroom. Restored Fishermans Cottages in Whitby rarely have 2 bathrooms due to there size and design when built over 350 yrs ago. It is actually 4 bedrooms but only open up 3 due to the 1Bathroom.
