We stayed in Bagdale No 4, which is an old Georgian house separate from the main hall.Had a lovely room with four poster and spacious bathroom. Very clean and cosy. The staff were friendly and helpful. We arrived early and were able to leave the car in the hotel carpark while we explored Whitby.Had a lovely meal in the hotel restaurant, we tried the 3 course offer (£16 per person). Good location, central but quiet at night. Again we were able to leave the car after checking out to have a last walk around before setting off for home. Would certainly recommend.

Room Tip: We stayed in Bagdale No 4, room 9 which is separate from main hall.

Had two nights b&b 18th 19th feb stayed in the lodge on a KGB deal .The room had been redecorated and was lovely with spacious on suite shower .Plenty of storage for clothes which is a bonus. The bed linen was crisp and fresh and towels changed daily .everywhere was spotless !
The staff were all very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.Had to walk down the hill for breakfast but that was ok.Good selection on offer and cooked to order. We will definatley be returning soon and would recommend to old and young alike. The hotel is well located in the centre of Whitby

We have just returned from a 2 night stay in the Lodge at Bagdale Hall.We were very pleased it was very clean, warm ,comfortable with the best power shower ever !! The staff were very welcoming and friendly, and the breakfast was excellent.Towels were changed each day and the bed made for us which was a lovely surprise. The Hall itself is a beautiful building and this is where you have your meals.we were quite glad to be in the lodge as the Hall is on the main road and I don't sleep very well with any noise,so it was very quiet where we were.
If you like Indian food try Passage to India just around the corner lovely food.

A very well run hotel. We stayed in the Lodge which has a small car park right in front of it and is just up the hill from the main hall. The rooms are well-decorated and clean with drinks tray and small wall-mounted telly. Lovely en suite shower room. Breakfast is served in the old Hall and was good with a good choice of menu (full English, kippers, etc). The hotel is well-situated for the centre of town. Please see room tip if you are booking into the Lodge.

Room Tip: Our first night was in room 31 which is upstairs and at the side near to the hospital which is right...

Just returned from a 2 night voucher deal stay. Excellent value. Stayed in the lodge ( 1min up hill away hall ), but not a problem. Bonus for Whitby is that it prvides parking. Lovely clean room, power shower, towels changed both days, and plenty of tea and coffee provided on drinks tray. Lovely breakfast and plenty of choice, service very good and friendly. Hotel on the edge of the town, less than 5 min stroll to town centre. Would recommend and will return.

Room Tip: For a special occasion, try the four posters in the large suites in the hall

We stayed in the lodge for two nights on a voucher deal. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The ensuite had a power shower and appeared to be newly decorated. Breakfast was traditional and was cooked to order which we much prefer to the buffet style. Hotel well located for the town and parking adequate and easily accessible. During of stay we experienced blizzard weather but once inside were always snug and Warm. Only downside was having to walk from the lodge to the main hotel for breakfast down and up a very steep hill. Most definately would stay again.
