Stayed (very last minute) at Seagull Cottage for a few days during October half term. Beautiful accommodation, brilliant location, great correspondence with Sharan. We would love to visit again one day.
This the second time we have stayed here and again it was like a home from home, location perfect, the feel of the house is great and relaxing as it was last time.
I really can't find fault with it we stayed for 4 nights and I have to say the best 4 nights sleep of the year for for me and the kids as I struggled to get them out of bed most mornings.
We stayed in seagull cottage as a group of old 5 friends turning 50, the location was great, 5 mins walk from the train station. The cottage is beautiful, we all loved the yellow theme right through the property, I think we will be stealing a few interior design ideas :). We all felt so relaxed and comfortable it was just what all needed. The beds are so comfortable too and one of my friends is now looking to buy a similar mattress for her home. We all hope one day we can stay again. Thank you
Really nice and clean cottage we all enjoyed staying, close to the park train stn and town thanks again
The cottage is homely and exceptionally clean and well looked after. Everything you could possibly need and the most comfortable beds!
I wouldn't recommend for anyone with walking difficulties as there are lots of steps both up to the cottage and within . I was aware of this when I booked but we only had one night. The area feels safe and friendly and it's not far to walk into the centre.
Car parking was only possible for us in the town itself as we travelled in 2 cars but we had budgeted for this.
If you have young children you can't really let them play out unsupervised as there are far too many steps and they will need to be watched on the interior stairs. Would I recommend it? If you want somewhere with character that is a home from home and you have no walking difficulties then I would say yes.
Wow what a place!! Stayed here with a small group of friends for a week and was not disappointed. Only a short walk from all the lovely sights of Whitby (the view of the Abbey from the top floor window is a definite bonus!!) 10/10 can't wait to come back!
