Me and my Partner visited the "Resolution Hotel" for an overnight stay through a groupon deal we were given as a gift. The Deal we had included dinner, bed and breakfast.

Check in was around 2pm, which was ideal as this was roughly the time we got there, the check in was very smooth and quick, staff was very accommodating.

The room was pretty bad, I wasn't overly fussed as I was there for my birthday so most of my time would be spent else where but if it was more of a romantic trip I wouldn't have been happy. The bathroom was clean it was just the room itself, badly painted and unkept.

The dinner was wonderful, we had a choice, 3 courses in "The Vault" or 2 courses in "The Main Deck" we choose the 2 courses due to it being more pub grub than al a carte (cultured I know :P ).
The menu was excellent for mains but had literally no starters. I had a good old Teesside "Parmo" which was better than most I've had in Teesside, chips were homemade, big and chunky too. The desserts were pretty good too.

The breakfast had plenty of choice, cereals, yogurts etc... the menu for the breakfast would have suited most people, I had a full english. The breakfast came pretty quickly it was really tasty barring the sausages which was cheap and tasteless.

The bar area "The Main Deck" was well decorated, prices for drinks were a little more expensive than some of the local bars, it had a pool table too for any pool fans out there.

Overall the experience was great, the staff were really friendly, check out was at half 10 but they will look after your luggage if your not due to leave until later on in the day, which I thought was great. The rooms could have done with a lick of paint but I did hear some of them have, so I imagine that will come. The food was great, the location was great (2-3 min walk to the sea front) so all round a decent trip!

Room Tip: Our room number was 107

Visited for a two day KGB deal. It was fantastic value for money. The hotel was very clean the rooms were nice and obviously newly decorated. The shower was brilliant. In our deal we had breakfast and evening meal the choice at breakfast was really good and between the four of us we pretty much tried everything and it was all good. But I have to say the meals in the deck area in the evenings were fantastic such good value for money. They all tasted delicious and the presentation was excellent. Well worth a visit to stay or just to have an amazing evening meal.

Room Tip: Ask for one overlooking the abbey.

From the moment we arrived the staff were really friendly and helpful. Our room was large and well furnished with a really comfy bed. Was windy at night and the window rattled a bit but not a major problem. The food here is excellent with a choice of top quality restaurant downstairs or food served in the bar which was way above the quality of pub grub. Breakfast was freshly prepared and to your choice served at your table. Good position near to shops and a short walk down to the harbor. Well pleased with our two night stay. Thank You.

Stayed for the weekend with husband and friends. We stayed in a small double room which was more than adequate. Bed was comfy and the room was clean. Pleasant complimentory toiletries and the towels were lovely and white. Breakfast had good selection and the cooked breakfast was tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful. Location was excellent with lots of shops pubs and restaurants nearby, however its on a small but steep hill. Only issue was the plug socket in the bedroom was not near the mirror, making drying my hair difficult. I would stay here again.

We went on a kgb voucher deal which was a birthday present. Booking was simple and straight forward.

Had an email 5 days before arrival date confirming booking and details on parking. Hotel has no parking facilities. Checked on parking websites myself and found the marina car park to be the cheapest (£6.00 for 24 Hrs, but remember to return next day to pay for a further 24 hrs) and only 5 min walk to hotel.

The reception was warm and friendly, the room was large and very clean. We had a bath, with the amount of space available full size bath would have been better. Also vent for bathroom was very loud could hear next rooms also.

You had option of dining in the bar area in the evening. Food reasonably priced Breakfast was served in the same area in the morning. There was excellent option for breakfast, cereals, juice. tea and coffee etc eat as much as you want along with a cooked breakfast.

Not all rooms have view to harbour or Abbey, ours looked to the street, which one would think could get quiet noisey in peak season.

Overall a pleasant stay for the 2 nights we were there, would stay there again.

Room Tip: Choose one higher up and away from the street.

We went ln a kgb deal and was good value for 2 nights b and b and bottle of wine. Our room was fine with big bathroom and the breakfast was adequate. Although for some reason everyone except me had tomatoe with full cooked breakfast but mine came without.
We ate in the vault one night and the food was excellent and great service so would recommend highly.
