Me and my husband stayed here for a 2 night stay. It is in a great location right in the heart of Whitby, there is a bit of a hill to climb to get to it but its not that difficult. The room was clean and had everything you needed, the television signal was not brilliant but everything else was fine. The bar was lovely and the staff were great, very friendly and helpful,. The breakfast was really nice and you c an pick and choose what you want, all in all a very pleasant stay, we will go back.

Stayed here for a night . hotel is fantastic staff are friendly and can't do enough for you . The rooms are clean and have good facilities. The breakfast is lovely all cooked to order and you can help yourself to as much toast ,cereal, orange juice etc as you want. Would certainly book this hotel again !!!!

Stayed for one night before a wedding, no parking at the hotel however they give you a scratch card on where to park for a couple of quid. Rooms are plain with great facilities , might do with a splash of colour.service is 5 star and breakfast fantastic . Hotel inside is decorated very nautical with a great fish tank. I would definitely book this again

We called for a two day stay the rooms were a little smaller than expected and although looked clean it could of done with a proper deep clean the staff were quite friendly and quick to serve we only had breakfast which was not special compared to other hotels we have stayed in our biggest problem was the late night noise from a local hostelry right through on the first night until 4.30 am would look elsewhere if we ever visit Whitby again

Room Tip: another location

An old hotel with a modern feel, in the town area & a few minutes walk down the hill to the harbour & beach. Good sized rooms, we stayed on the side overlooking a small street, quiet. Room wasn't double glazed as it's listed, nice shower in bathroom. Breakfast was excellent, offers a good range of food, all cooked to order + cereals etc. Parking is on the surrounding side streets, the hotel will sell you a 2 day parking permit for £1, you have to park in certain zones & may have a slight walk but it's a good saving over the official car parks that are around £6-8 per day. Would definitely visit Whitby again, you must see the Abbey & climb the 199 steps up to it.

Room Tip: We stayed in a standard double on the side, 2 x 3' beds joined to make a 6' bed. Other room options available.
