A lovely hotel, in a central location

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 2 Apr 2024via mobile
We visited for the Easter weekend, and had a double room with view.

The room was nice, a little small but had what we needed. The bed was comfy and the shower was really powerful. The view was great, looking over the abbey and the sea.

The location was great, really close to lots of bars, shops and restaurants.

Though a parking scratch card is available, we arrived in Easter Saturday afternoon, so parking was very difficult. We managed to get a space at a pay and display car park just round the corner, which was £8 for 24 hours. As we didn’t want to lose our space, we got the local bus to Robin Hoods Bay from just outside the train station. It was the x93 and cost £2 each way, taking about 20mins. I’d highly recommend this as parking at the bay was more limited than in Whitby! Gorgeous little place to visit though.

We didn’t have the breakfast, but went for an evening meal at the hotel, which was good quality food and a nice selection.

All staff were friendly and helpful. We would stay again if we visit the area in future

Firstly this place is stunning ,beautiful room we had the officers suite definatly had the wow factor.we stayed 3 nights ,on our first night we had dinner in the vault there own restaurant this was fabulous taste and presentation was 10/10.we were told the saturday and sunday were fully booked but we had drinks in the bar saturday and there was plenty of empty tables we would have ate there otherwise. The breakfast again was fab ,staff are lovely.Only thing i can say and it is minor that the housekeeping isnt great,Replenishment wasnt topped up eg tea coffee so we had to ring the reception and towels wernt changed daily we had the same for ones the duration of the stay.Overall id definatly stay again and would recomend the resolition it is a very beautiful hotel xx

Room tip: pillows arnt great i would take my own next time

Booked here for a last minute meal and glad I did. Food was really good , only criticism I had dauphinois potatoes and the top was slightly overcooked but other than that really good food . Drinks menu was slightly limited as I wanted a cocktail. Staff were polite and attentive. Would definitely recommend

Wonderful stay again in the Resolution Hotel. Stayed in one of their lovely new rooms, Officer’s Suite, that is a huge upgrade on the double room we stayed in last year. Had dinner in the Vault every night, food was always excellent, particularly the Sunday roast. Staff super helpful, nothing too much trouble. Perfect location in Whitby. See you next year.

Room tip: Book one of the lovely new rooms, so much space, even had a tv by the bath

Booked this last minute and can honestly say so happy that we did. We had a really warm welcome. Bright, light and airy fresh room and amazing freshly cooked scrummy breakfast. Would highly recommend this. Great views over harbour and Abbey.

A brilliant clean and super friendly hotel. Everyone was so helpful and nice. Fantastic position and had free parking with a scratch card from reception. The restaurant the Vault was great for evening meals and again the staff were brilliant. Breakfast was very good and had a good choice. Highly recommended by me

Room tip: It was very busy when we visited but its always like that. If you find a restaurant you like its best to book. We struggled to find places to eat at night they were so full.
