We stayed for 2 nights with a toddler and dog. We stayed in the Campion suite which was a great size for us and also had a king size bed and large bathroom. Great location, walking distance from the centre and car parking which is a bonus. Friendly staff and lovely breakfast in the morning. Would stay again and recommend.

We booked the Arundel as our place to stay after doing a coast to coast cycle ride and it turned out to be a real gem.
Scott and Rachel took over the guest house late last year and have already made a huge start on updating all the rooms, and the room was immaculate and comfy.
The big plus about staying here is the owners and there children, friendly is an understatement, along with the staff it ranks up there with the best i have ever stayed in.
If your going to Whitby this is the place to stay , if your not going to Whitby why not ,, get to Whitby and stay at the Arundel.

We recently had a very enjoyable stay at Arundel House. Our room was spacious with a fourposter bed. There was a settee in front of the t.v, and a fireplace complete with mantle piece. The room was toasty and warm on arrival which was appreciated, as it was raining and cold outdoors. There were dogs and children amongst the guests and both were catered for with ease and without fuss.
The host was engaging and helpful at breakfast. Thank you Arundel House

We enjoyed a very comfortable night at Arundel House. Room and ensuite were 'compact' but that's to be expected in these old houses. Ensuite spotless, bed comfortable and it us located an easy 10 minute stroll into the Whitby Town Centre. The host was engaging and friendly and breakfast very good with an option of an A La Carte Menu. They also do dinners for guests or others. We were very happy there and would most certainly return again.

Room Tip: We had a ground floor room by the stairs but no problems with internal iron external noise. It was a...

Booked this trip on the spur of the moment, looked it up on Trip Advisor and saw it had good reviews and I wasn't disappointed. Chose the Sutcliffe room on the ground floor opposite the dining room at at the front of the building.

Only spent Saturday night there in June and the owners made us feel really welcome. Only minutes after I booked on-line, Scott was calling me to answer a query. Well placed for all the amenities in Whitby with on-site parking makes this a good venue.

Our room (at the front of the building facing the road) was pleasant enough, the bed comfortable and the bathroom was clean with a decent shower cubicle. The only thing you need to think about is you will get a little road noise being at the front of the building as it's a fairly busy junction. However, that didn't spoil the stay one bit.

There was plenty of electrical sockets for charging up your iphone etc and I had a relatively good signal on my phone. Wi-Fi is free so that's a bonus. Breakfast was ample serving and well cooked.

Would I stay here again? Sure, no problem.

Room Tip: If you're a light sleeper and need a quiet night, then don't get the Sutcliffe Room.
