I have just returned home after a 1 night stay at Whitehaven with my daughter.Simon met us and was very pleasant and made us very welcome and was very helpful in directing us to places we could go for a meal.It is only a 5 minute walk into the town.We stayed in room 2 which was comfortable, warm and spotlessly clean. There were lots of choices for breakfast and we had the full english breakfast which was delicious with plenty of coffee and tea. I will recommend to my family and friends and will certainly stay here again

Have just returned from a 2 night weekend break at the Whitehaven Guest House. It is very tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean, very warm room and had everything you could possibly want whilst away for a short break. The full English breakfast was excellent and there were several other breakfast options available. The location was great, next to the leisure centre, a car park and a short walk to the sea front. Simon and Lane were very friendly and welcoming. would definitely stay there again.

My wife and I stayed at the Whitehaven guest house 3rd April for one night. On arrival we were met by Simon and Lane who invited us in to their beautiful guest house. They told us where we could park, and then showed us to our room which was a large very clean en-suite bedroom.
The breakfast next morning was a choice of cereals fruit juices, full english , vegetarian or whitby kippers and more.
The guest house is close to all amenities, but just out of the hustle and bustle of harbour.
The car park at the side of the guest house is for a leisure centre and public parking which is £5 for 24 hours.

My husband and I have just got back after 2 nights at the Whitehaven in Whitby. It was absolutely fantastic, the room was spotless, the breakfasts wonderful and really good choice. We had the full English which we can definitely recommend. Simon and Lane made us feel very welcome and were excellent hosts. I can honestly say it is the best B & B I have ever stayed in and look forward to staying there the next time we visit Whitby

Room Tip: We stayed in room 3 and would happily stay in that room again.

We had booked our room through the I Know Uk which allowed a small discount. Not sure if this was the reason we were allocated room 2 which although was spotlessly clean, proved to be very cold perhaps due to a very draughty old style window. The decor of the room was pleasant, but very overcrowded again the same as the shower/toilet room. I was asked to settle up the bill on arrival but in future I will ask to see the room first. We were a little disappointed as there did seem to be other rooms available which had doors propped open that looked lovely. The hosts were very friendly and the breakfast was delicous.

Room Tip: Try not to book room 2 particularly if the weather is cold.
