Excellent stay at The Willows, Whitby recently. Debbie and Martin are the perfect hosts nothing is too much trouble and they are very helpful regarding information and directions about the Whitby and surrounding areas. The B & B is of very high spec and well maintained with a friendly atmosphere. Breakfasts are first class, the full English was very good and popular, there are other alternatives, I must mention the jams and marmalades that Debbie makes, they are fabulous and became the general conversation at breakfast, who likes which one the best. The location is excellent for the town, harbour and beach and there is a park opposite which is well kept. There is WiFi which these days is important and it worked in our bedroom. I would highly recommend and will be going again ourselves.

Room Tip: They are all excellent. There is a ground floor room which is ideal for anyone with a disability and...

I had a really nice peaceful stay in Whitby. The Guest House was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Breakfast was tasty and ell cooked with excellent home made jams (different flavours) every day. Excellent recommendations for eating out. Parking arranged cheaply and bike hire shop recommended. The Cinder Track is not for the faint hearted!

We travelled to Whitby for a four day break with my elderly parents and needed somewhere that could accommodate a wheelchair users needs. Debs and Martin were so helpful from the moment we booked to checking out, recommending accessible places to visit and eat. We were given a lovely welcome with tea and ginger cake. Martin helped my husband with the luggage and settled my parents into their very comfortable wheelchair accessible room. The aids for a disabled guest were extensive (loo frame, wet floor shower, commode/shower chair) and in good order (& much appreciated). Our room was on the 2nd floor, bright and airy with a huge comfy bed. The breakfasts were amazing with a vast choice - my father even had a kipper one morning - and the homemade jams & granola were a lovely touch. Nothing is too much trouble, so much so that one night when we brought back some supper and ate it in the dining room, they cleared a table laid for breakfast & we were offered tea or coffee. Thank you Debs and Martin for such a great break

Arrived to a very warm welcome, tea and ginger cake. Rooms were very nice, ours had a lovely big bed and a nice large bathroom with a very large shower. The breakfast was excellent with the nicest black pudding I had ever tasted. Martin and I had great conversations about the jams that are home made by Deb, even came away with a recipe and jars to make my own. Over all a great place to stay with a very friendly and hospitable couple. Will def pass the word round.

Thank you for your review, just feel i need to follow up on your comment about not using the lift after midnight, We only ask people who are able to use the stairs to refrain from using the lift after midnight so that other guests who are already in bed are not disturbed by the sound of the lift or banging of the lift doors. Anybody with a disability is always welcome to use the lift at any time.
