“Great Place to Stay”
Reviewed 8 June 2016 for a stay in May 2016

We found these cottages great to stay in. The Cottage we stayed was comfortable, clean and very well equipped, with a nice warm friendly welcome. As a touring centre for walking or visiting the North Yorkshire Moors railway it's ideal. We found lots to do and its a great place to relax. We came away feeling relaxed and refreshed. Highly recommended.

“Home from home”
Reviewed 31 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

We stayed in the Dairy for the second year running and found it really comfortable and homely. A very good, well equipped kitchen and lovely area to dine (we entertained family during our stay). We love the rural location and the fact that there is a variety of lovely walks from the doorstep and excellent access to the North Yorkshire Moors Railway!

“Absolutely lovely - a prefect retreat”
Reviewed 23 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

A warm and comfortable home from home with everything that you could possibly need. The location - Beck Hole - is the North Yorkshire Moors at its very best. We were made very welcome by our hosts Chris and Diane and will certainly visit again.

We stayed in one of the static caravans. It was very roomy, very well equipped, very comfortable and the views were amazing. The facilities on the site are excellent. Chris and Diane are terrific hosts. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they were very welcoming. We will definitely come back again one day.

“Amazing place!”
Reviewed 29 April 2015 for a stay in August 2013

We have stayed at Dairy Cottage twice with our little family. Lovely cottage in an amazing location. Great holiday to get away from it all yet have everything you need nearby. There was so much for the family to do in Scarborough and Whitby and lovely beaches a little north of Whitby. Yet you could have no car days with lots of great walks about including to the village of where Heartbeat was filmed. Superb lovely cottage to a very high standard. One of our favourite places and we would always stay here if we return to Yorkshire.

“Heaven on earth”
Reviewed 26 April 2015 for a stay in December 2014

We have stayed at Hill Farm many many times and each time we are made to feel part of the family by the hosts Chris and Diane. Nothing is ever too much to ask. Cottage is a home from home . Step outside and you have the wonders of the moors, walk down the hill and you have the North York Moors railway, drop into the village and have a pint in the local! Heaven on Earth. Highly recommended for couples and families.
