“Great Stay”
Reviewed 6 April 2012

Arrived early so took our bags off us to keep safe, while we went into york. Only 5 mins walk from the train station!! Lovely room, very friendly staff. We had booked the meal deal, so had a tabled booked and were seated straight away, fab three course meal and drink, kids cost extra, but they had 3 course as well for just £5.95, was really lovely, staff could not do enough for you! Once again Breakfast was lovely but very busy in the restaraunt, would recomend this hotel to anyone and would stay there again!!!

We tried a premier Inn in London last year so thought we would try again in York for a two night break.
We would normally look at Hilton, Marriot etc, but we found this hotel better than any other brand.
The reception greeting was excellent, ALL the staff were very friendly and very helpful and there is a very relaxing feel to the place.
The rooms are spotlessly clean and very comfortable, with a choice of pillows soft or hard.
We had a family room with a king size and single bed whihc were very comfortable.
The breakfast is fantastic and better than most other branded hotels. One of our party is gluten intolerant, but the staff were excellent, sorting out sausages and bread was done discreetly and efficiently.
The hotel is around 300 metres from Micklegate and is an excellent position away from the hustle and bustle of the city but not so far away that it is a pain to walk into.
This is no the second premier inn we have tried in 5 months and we will now be using them as an automatic chocie in future.

Marvellous stay!

Stayed at this Premier Inn for a short break in March The Inn is a short walk from the city centre and 3 minutes from the wall. The Inn is very comfortable and the staff very friendly. We ate in Table Table of an evening and they have a good menu to choose from. There were road works in front of the building but staff had emailed us with the information and assured us we would not be bothered by the noise. We were put in a back room and the only time we heard it was when we went out of the building York is a lovely place and we will be going again using this Premier Inn Spend some time in the Railway Museum it is well worth a visit.

Room Tip: We stayed on the third floor at the back lovely and quiet

Stayed at this premier inn for a night with my mum for a visit to York. Staff are very friendly and helpful and are always there to help.

The hotel room was spotless and I couldn't fault it one bit. The pillows are lovely too. Very quiet, no noise during the night which is a bonus. I would stay here again as it is great value for money.

Room Tip: Rooms at back of hotel are very quiet.

only stayed one night. staff in evening very friendly. rooms are as you would expect in premier inn - clean and comfortable. Unfortunately we were not in a quiet part of the hotel and were disturbed a couple of times during the night by other guests. must remember to ask for a quiet room next time

Only stayed one night, managed to get a parking space behind the hotel so didn't have to pay for parking which was a bonus. Staff are superb. Was going for a look round York after we checked out, and they said we could leave our car there after we checked out for a few hours.

Room was spotless, as with all Premier Inns, and very comfortable. The attached resteraunt was sublime.

Recommended to my parents, who also stayed here, and said the same thing also

Room Tip: Always check the hotel car park - entrance is at side of Blossom St North Premier Inn, close to the...

I stayed here with one of my friends last Saturday eve, taking advantage of a FREE stay from the recent Great Night Giveaway promo that PI had been running.Great hotel, centrally located, very helpful & friendly reception staff. We had a huge, bright ,comfortable room on the 3rd floor, and were delighted to be able to check in a full 2 hours earlier than the normal check in time! We were unable to find a space in the car park attached to the neighbouring Premier Inn North, but parked in the NCP just along the road-you even get a discounted rate if staying at either of the PI's.(The parking attendant was brilliant when my car wouldnt start due to a flat battery on the Sun a.m.!!!) York was a fantastic location for a weekend City break-lots of great eating/drinking/shopping places...& lots of great wee streets to wander through! And the sun was shining!!! The Reel cinema, just a couple of doors along from the hotel, is well worth a visit....like walking back in time, and a nice change from today's giant multiplex cinemas!!! Will def. return to York, and would be more than happy to use this hotel again!!
