We stayed at the Premier Inn (York City Blossom Street South) at end of April for 2 nights. The location is perfect as all the York attractions of the old city is within walking distance.
The hotel room and the bath room are spacial. They are clean and well maintained. There is a 30 min complementary Wi-Fi in the room. One can get free Wi-Fi at their Pub Restaurant too. The front desk staff is friendly and ready to help. They are responsive to problems encountered during the stay and ready to make good with complementary offers. Obviously the staff set their top priority to ensure guests have a comfortable stay that they deserve. For that, one can't ask for more. I highly recommend Premier Inn (York City Blossom Street South).
The hotel is fairly new compared to the other Premier Inn (York City Blossom Street North). Don't be fooled by the names "Blossom Street South" and "Blossom Street North". There is only one street i.e. Blossom Street. The two Inns are actually on the same side of the Blossom Street one after the other with a Pub in between. As you approach the hotel along Blossom Street heading towards the north direction (i.e. towards to the old city gate), you will reach the South hotel first which has a modern facade. Luggage unloading is not easy as the Blossom Street is a busy road with buses traveling along. The hotel staff advised us to unload off the road and park the car after. Otherwise, it will be a long way to drag heavy luggage from NCP parking to the hotel.
The hotel gives discount for day-parking at the NCP which is on a street around the corner. One has to be careful that the day-parking payment is made each time one drives in. If one drives out of the car park and returns later, one has to pay again. The hotel has a complementary parking for disables behind their building. From there one can walk through their Pub Restaurant to the hotel lobby. However, the access to the rooms on each floor is controlled by doors that need the card key to open. This gives a sense of security keeping out the public patronizing the pub-restaurant.
