We stayed 2 nights for a mini-break in York, with our 3 year old daughter. We were emailed prior to arrival to ask if we had any special requests. I said that a quieter room would be appreciated. Our room was very quiet. Only on the second night did we hear some drunk people going to their rooms, but that's not the hotel's fault.
We were given a room on 3rd floor, and it was huge compared to most hotels we've been to. All was clean, tidy and the choice of pillows etc was appreciated. Often we notice things like beds smelling of smoke - none of that here, it was all great.
Breakfast was huge and well worth the pre-book (our daughter ate for free). The staff from reception to restaurant to cleaners walking past in corridors were all friendly and courteous. The late check-out time of midday is really appreciated and they happily kept our bags. The short walk to the train station was good and the city centre a short walk away (about 20-30 mins with a young child walking).
No complaints whatsoever (the soap dispenser wasn't working properly, that was all!).
Great stay, family friendly and would return, especially for the price.
