“Cant fault the service but didnt feel it was value for money”
Reviewed 4 June 2013

To keep it brief we didnt feel this was the nicest part of York to stay and wished we had chosen one of the other many hotels. We paid £277 for two of us for two nights bed and breakfast . We couldnt fault the service everyone tried really hard to please. We have stayed at Premiere Inns before but felt we had overpaid this time for the room we were given . We enjoyed York and thats what we went for. On the plus side its near the station and there is a bus stop a few yards away where you can buy a 24hr ticket and hop on and off the tour bus as you please all around York.

Room Tip: Youve a choice at the back its maybe quieter but the sound of the extractor fans from the kitchen ca...

We stayed one night and were impressed. The reception staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was clean and quiet. The breakfast was delicious. They even stored our luggage for free after we checked out of the room. Highly recommend.

Stayed for 4 nights in early May. Checkin and checkout were a breeze. Reception staff always greeted us warmly. Room was roomy and clean, and beds were comfortable. Great location for train travellers, and a short walk to the town centre (although the walk up Micklegate in the evening is a little weird, as York seems to be almost deserted after 6pm). Overall, location, price and cleanliness make it a definite recommend.

The location is excellent and the staff helpful and friendly, just two minor niggles the aircon was noisy I know it is hard to beleive we did use it mention this is the room (110) was warm but we could not open the window as we had the restaurant fan unit right outside! York town centre is just a short walk away as is the train station and the must visit National Railway Museum.
York is best enjoyed on foot but we do recommend the combined bus and boat trip and afternoon tea at Bettys, you will have to book early and it is not cheap! but if you allow one treat for your trip then this should be it and remember to go and have a look at the RAF mirror with the names of the airmen who fought during the second world war.

Room Tip: we were on the first floor Room 110 this had the restaurant fan unit outside

This hotel is very clean and offers everything you could want. Great Rooms, which are clean and big including the beds, good food and close too all of the bars and restaurants. The railway stations is walking distance which is a plus when leaving your car ay home. The breakfast will cover everybody from the quick lets get up and go to the person who wants as much as you can eat breakfast. Restaurant has a great menu.

There are two Premier Inns on Blossom Street almost next door to one another and this is the one nearest the Reel Cinema.
The location is brilliant - a short (uphill) walk from York Station and just outside the City Walls at the Micklegate Bar so a short stroll away from all of the attractions of York.
We were checked into our quiet, clean and comfortable room on the first floor at the back of the hotel quickly and efficiently and details of the amended Breakfast times (it was a Bank Holiday weekend) quickly written onto our keycard holder.
The hotel must have been nearing 100% occupancy and the dining room staff coped superbly with the family groups taking advantage of the free Breakfast for under-16s and the "BOGOF" on main meals in the evening.
A special mention of the young man (sorry I didn't manage to read his name tag) on reception duties who took off like a hare after my 3-year old grandson who launched himself with a cry of "Opensezame" out of the two automatic doors to the street when I was trying to manoeuvre a trolley case and buggy through the non-automatic door leading from the rooms - a big thanks, once again.

Great location close to York Station and only a short walk to the city centre and National Railway Museum. Staff are very friendly and check in process quick and efficient.
Rooms were standard Premier Inn - clean, comfortable, well maintained.
Didn't have breakfast but did have dinner in the attached Table Table restaurant. Food and service was very good.
There are two Premier Inns adjacent to each other at this location (Blossom Street North and South) so you need to ensure you go to the correct one.
